So we decided to go to Italy over Christmas break. We will be in Rome, Venice, Naples and probably Florence. I tried to google tack stores in Italy but didnt find what I was looking for. So I am turning to the wisdom of COTH once again. Has anyone gone horsey shopping in Italy and have any suggestions for me???
Hi! I actually posted this same question a few months ago, but unfortunately didn’t have any responses. I was in Italy over the end of May and the beginning of June (Rome, Venice, Florence, and Capri), but unfortunately there were none to be found. We thought we had found one in Florence and walked 4 miles to go find it, but it had gone out of business recently. However, if you would like any suggestions on things to do while in Italy, feel free to send me a PM! (:

I asked this question two yrs ago and got no response. I searched for Parlanti boots there- they must be somewhere!
There is a tack shop in an underground shopping area, entrance near Harry’s Bar, near Via Veneto.
As an example, I looked at Selleria Equipe & distributors in Italy to get this list
You can do the same with Cavallo or whichever brand you like
Thank you! This is really helpful!!
Hi, I was in Florence in August and stopped by one there. You will need to take a taxi but it is only a 10 minute or so ride there from the Duomo. They do not have a website up, but were working on it at the time. I thought I had their card on me but it is in another purse. Will send a message or post the info here when I dig it up.
It is a cute operation and they speak limited English, but there is nothing that Google can’t solve. The fashions are great there and I picked up the most indestructible pair of bell boots ever! Happy shopping!
I was in Italy last year and I stumbled upon a Jumper show. They had many booths set up so I would look for a large jumper show and you should find tack.
We went to Rome last year and there are two tack stores in the city although not within walking distance of where we stayed. They are more in the “outskirts”. So I didn’t go.
I found them by emailing the Animo US dealer directly and asking for their Rome locations.
When I was working over in Europe I had a lot of success at the shows with the tack stores, often only held back because I didn’t have a way to bring it home! Definitely see if there are any shows in San Giovanni/Horses Riviera Resort, Arezzo, Manerbio, and Cervia.

You can also try to visit the Equipe, Amerigo, Tucci, Parlanti factories, I can’t remember if they have retail fronts but its cool to drive by and see all of the factories!
