I keep seeing Facebook ads for a website called Tack Tack Room. Has anyone used it and is it safe? I see they don’t accept PayPal which I don’t like (I find disputing charges thru PP to be much easier and faster than dealing with my credit card company, and a website can’t “steal” Paypal info). I buy and sell a fair amount of tack so am always looking for new places to buy and sell. Also can’t figure out how the website is making money?? I can’t find anything that mentions a buyers premium or sellers fee, and listings are supposedly free. Folks who have used it, please tell the good and bad…
I actually know the couple that created & run tack tack room. It’s really taken off the past year, allowing clothing shops & resellers to list their items and close outs. Major companies are even signing on.
I’ve sold a couple things on there and was happy with my experience. I’ve never bought. They do take 10% ((which is shown when you come up with your listing price)). 3% of that is CC processing fees & the rest goes to them.
Side note - the wife is a sales rep for a saddle brand and husband is an IT guy. They came up with the idea as a place where her customers can list their trade in saddles to try and get better value. Now it’s gone above and beyond for them.

I have never heard anything bad about it. I wish they could create an app like TackHunter did (although that company miserably failed)

I love TackTackRoom- great experiences.
Just bought a GPA from there, for $350! Totally love it, great deal. Quick shipping and great price, haven’t had any issues with them. Prefer not to sell on there as they take a large cut, but that’s just my preference.
