Has anyone bought anything off of here?

I have read through the site a bit, and they are very vague on what buyer protection they have (if they have any at all). They basically say to just contact them if anything goes wrong.

Would it be worth it to purchase off of here? I usually do my online shopping on eBay and use feedback to judge whether or not a buyer is worth buying from, and have also had great experiences with eBay customer service when I had trouble with a seller.

I found a great deal on TackTackRoom and just don’t know if it’s worth the risk of buying from a user with unknown feedback (since they don’t seem to have a feedback system) and if there’s a possibility I’m screwed if the seller doesn’t come through. The item is also EXTREMELY cheap, which makes me wonder if it’s too good to be true, though the seller’s other items are priced closer to what you would expect to see them sell for.

The site says “TackTackRoom will issue a full refund if your item is never shipped, damaged, or arrives not as described.”

Then goes on to say “Payments are only released to the seller once you’ve received your item in good condition. You’ll receive a tracking number so you can monitor your purchase from door-to-door. After the item is delivered, you’ll have 3 days to open a dispute. After 3 days, the order becomes non-refundable.

If you wish to open a dispute, click “Accept or Reject Item” on the order page, then “No, Not Satisfied”, and then explain your dispute. Once we’ve received your dispute, we can help you through the process.

If the dispute is settled in your favor, you can return the item to the seller for a full refund.”

So it sounds like the money it held in escrow until things are resolved. But it’s a new platform so TBD how they back up those rules.

I bought a pair of custom boots from TackTackRoom. The communication with the seller, the purchase, and shipping all went smoothly. You may want to ask why the item is priced so low. In my case, I got an incredible deal because the seller ordered custom boots that ended up not fitting. I bought them for less than half what she paid.

There are few reviews of the business and they are all positive.

Thank you! I think I will ask. To be fair, it is an item that is from an older but known for quality brand that is not really “in” anymore (but is still in brand new condition), so that may reflect the price as well.
