talk to me about Diktator

Tell me about your foals, temperaments, do they lean hunter or jumper? General size (out of what size mare) and rideability ? What is the best feature about them and thing you like the least ? Finally did you breed fresh or frozen and how was quality ?

Our 2013 Diktator colt was the third foal from our MMB GOV thoroughbred hunter mare. He improved exactly what we were seeking to improve, more so than her first offspring. He stamps his hind end conformation and significantly improves gaits. We bred specifically for the performance hunter ring and we got a very flashy, well put together, and athletic colt. Very supple through his shoulder and uphill balance at the canter. He is easy to work with and smart, but so are all of this mare’s offspring so can’t comment if this comes from the dam. He started off a small baby, but had caught up to all but the talest in his year- mare is large and offspring from her are all over the map height wise. Too young to tell you rideability or greatest weaknesses - I think his oldest crop is coming three this year in the states, but I did see two young ones under tack that I very much liked in Europe.

From what I’ve seen, Diktator is one of a very few stallions to throw pure gaits that are exhibited on foals. They should be useful in any discipline. The foals also seem to receive the head of the mother, but otherwise are refined and modern. We shall see where the temperament and jumping ability lead very soon.
