I recently bought a pair of custom Celeris UK boots online, only to find them a little spacious around the ankle and toe when they arrived. I love the look of them and I think they are very nice boots (chalking up the size problems to measurement error–and I was the one doing the measurements, so oops!). I really want to find a place to at least get the ankle taken in so they fit more like a glove, but I am worried about the alterations making them worse, not better.
Does anyone have any recommendations for places to get boot alterations done in the Bay Area? I don’t want to ship them off, I’d much rather take them to be altered in person and have the tailor/cobbler take the measurements themselves.
