Thanks for the info. I have the same situation.
I send you a PM and I forgot to say my Der Daus are semi custom. I had the ankles taken in and then I had the calves taken in about 6 months after I had them.
Here is a picture of them:

I’m 5’9, all my height is in my legs, and they are skinny. People make fun of them. There are 3 pairs of socks under those boots.
Help!
I have a similar problem, I have big feet, superskinny calves, and not much money. Do size 10, 12.5 inch around boots just not exist?
Whoops. Old.
Try DeNiros
They make some tall, xslim.
Don’t get Sergio Grassos! the zippers in them are awful and break really easily. I’m tall and slim as well. Unfortunately you’ll probably have to most likely custom order. That way you can get boots that fit you best. De Neros are what i have and they fit well, but pinch super bad in the ankles if i wear them for too long. Just ordered Parlantis which are really nice. Tuccis are really nice (you can get the half chaps and they look just like field bootsl; can’t even tell they’re half chaps and much cheaper).
Try Tredstep DaVinic’s. Fit me like custom (and I have super slim calves and long legs). I have extra slim and extra tall
DeNiros are really the only solution I found for the same situation. Sergio Grassos and Ariat Monacos will not be nearly tall enough if you are are truly tall/slim in the leg. Tredsteps will not be slim enough in the calf.
You mean there are people who don’t have to buy custom??
Size 12 foot
12" calf
Chicken ankle
And they need to be 23" tall
Ariat “talls” are worthless.
Size 9 foot and 12.5" calf, Parlantis are what I would suggest. I wear a 40MH, so they go even oone size slimmer and taller, which is crazy to me.
Add me to the list of tall, skinny chicken legs. My plan is to get De Niros eventually, but for now the only affordable off the rack book that kind of works for me is the Ariat Heritage Contour - they added an xslim width that is almost skinny enough, and almost tall enough. Not perfect, but doable for an everyday boot.
The Tredstep xslim calf is the only one that is actually a good fit, but I find their tall height too short.
Same challenge - daughter with really long, really tiny legs.
Bought a pair of the Monaccos - they were alright when we purchased them but even with minimal wear they stretched to the point they no longer fit.
We’ve had good luck with Treadsteps (surprise!) - they make an extra-tall boot & you can order it extra-slim. Most stores won’t stock that size, but they can be ordered in ( store may not even know they can order these sizes )
They went from show ring to schooling and lasted a good while - now on our second pair.
Not sure where you are located? I know a couple stores in Ontario that will order them in for you?
Helpful thread, thanks everyone. I have the big foot / super skinny calf problem too (9.5, 12" calf)
It was a long time ago, but I ended up going custom. I’ve had them resoled once, and I had gussets added (one calf got fatter, one stayed the same, oddly) but they are still going strong given that I save them for special occasions only and generally ride in half chaps (also old and custom made, lol) and paddock boots.
Sidenote, when did Ariat start to suck? I have paddock boots from the early 2000s and I keep expecting them to fall apart, but they just don’t. I’ve been wearing them to the barn six days a week, including in mud and snow, for three years.
We have two kids with freakishly tall & skinny calves at our barn. The Treadsteps work well for them and look good. They’re not that expensive, either.

When they stopped making them in Italy. I have a pair of Italian-made Crownes that I bought used years ago which still look gorgeous, and I ride multiple horses a day, every day. They still have the comfy footbeds, but the leather just isn’t in the same class anymore.
I have a big foot skinny calf and am tall. Really like the deniros in xxtall - got them from smartpak

No, off the rack Parlantis will not be nearly tall enough. Parlantis also drop at least an inch.
My Parlantis barely dropped - less than 1/2". I was worried when I got them because I heard they dropped a lot and the height was great out of the box, but I haven’t had an issue and they’re over a year old.
There are only so many options when you have a size 9 foot and a calf less than 13.75" inches around (the standard slim size in most off the rack boots, size 40 - DeNiro, Ariat, etc.). Basically if you have chicken legs and big feet, Sergio and Parlanti are it.
Tredsteps

I’m not tall but have very slim calves. The Tredstep Medici are the slimmest calf for my size that I have found, and they aren’t super expensive. The foot size runs large - I usually wear a 38, but I wear a 37 in the Tredsteps. They’re nice boots and fit like custom.
