Tall boots with grippy inner panel - that won't break the bank?

I have the TuffRider Suregrip tall boots - they are about 2-3 years old (they are my second pair - the first pair is 6-7 years old and the inner grip part has peeled off; luckily I was able to snag the newer ones off Amazon; it was the last pair they had!), but they are starting to “feel their age” (otherwise I love them!), and ARGH!, they have been discontinued. SIGH

I have done a lot of Googling over the past year or two looking for these boots, trying to find closeouts or even second hand vendors (including Ebay) and there are a handful - but none in my size, alas.

I know there are some other boot brands that have the grippy inner panel (Ovation has some - the Sophias - but according to reviews they are prone to falling apart) - and there are some really high end boots with this feature - but the price point is too rich for my blood.

I would consider synthetics (like the aforementioned Sophias) IF they are attractive, affordable and reasonably durable!

TIA if anyone knows of a “unicorn boot” that would fit the bill!

Not sure of your size, but it looks like State Line Tack still has them.

I like the grip inside my Ariat V Sports. I’m on my second pair of them.

Thanks!

Alas - I had already checked Stateline.

:disappointed_relieved:

Had to go back and look at the price point for the Ariats – yeah, too rich for my blood. I wonder if there are any available used? I can certainly poke around – so thank you!

Ah, ok. Sorry. I didn’t pick a size.

LOL - no worries!

Yeah, I had checked that out a while ago and everything has been sold out for quite some time, dammit.

Can confirm the Ovation Sophia’s peel pretty quickly (6 mo?).

Ariats are pretty easy to find used, depending on your size! Check Poshmark, I just scored a different pair of boots essentially new for $100 (and they retail for $500).

Ugh, yeah – I read a bunch of reviews and they pretty much said the same thing!

Thanks for the recommendation, I will take a look tomorrow :+1:

My bestie ended up with a pair of Tattini field boots that had a “close contact” grippy inner panel, and she swears they’re the best thing since sliced bread. I hadn’t heard of the brand before or since, but they look nice and I trust her judgement.
They’re a bit on the spendy side new, but if you can find a used pair for sale they might be worth a look
