Tall Boots With Round Toes? Where are they?

I have been through many pairs of boots in recent years, trying to find a pair that is comfortable, for showing. I have finally figured out that I just cannot do the square toes…at all. I love the way they look, but they have created some kind of weird toe/nerve problem in one of my feet, and I can barely walk with a pair of them on!
I school in old school, low end Ariat boots for everyday, and have NO issues, but they have what is now considered a round toe. I have searched high and low, and all I can come up with are two styles of Ariats, that specifically state they have round toes, otherwise everything I am finding is square toed. I love nice quality boots, but don’t want to spend a ton of money (poor horse person problems). I don’t mind searching for pre-owned, but need to know what kind to search for. I have tried: Tucci, Ego7’s (Tucci off the rack), DeNiro’s, and the Ariat Monaco’s. Wishing now I had kept my old Dehner pull ons!
Does anyone have a suggestion on brand/style, to look at!

You can order DeNiro with round toes. I actually have a pair for sale. They need the zippers replaced, and I have replacement zippers just not a shop locally that does a good enough job. My calf got slimmer and they don’t fit anymore. They have just been collecting dust in my house. They aren’t quite as round as my old Vogels, but I think some of it comes from the general last shape more so than the toe part itself.

I love the look of those boots and don’t understand the popularity of square toes, I think they ae ugly.

I have no suggestions, just replying to say that I share your pain, literally and figuratively. As best I have been able to determine, there are no off-the-shelf or even semi-custom boots that don’t pinch my toes. None.

Those look lovely! Btw…what size are they?? I might be interested, if they are my size!

Which style do you have? After looking at the newer ones, they all appeared to have a square toe.

I have the first Medicci’s but look at the Donatello III version.

  • High-quality leathers.
  • Full leather lining.
  • Grippy rubber outsole.
  • Improved high-tensile stretch panel for an ideal fit every time.
  • Durable rear zipper.
  • Elasticized closure at the top of the boot for added comfort.
  • Relaxed Spanish top.
  • Round toe profile.
  • Spur rest.

I like the Parlanti Dallas boots. if you get the pro version, they have thicker leather on the inside and wear down less quickly.

They aren’t as almond round shaped as the DeNiro’s or possibly the Vogels, but still quite nice.

I ride in the Dover Madison boots which have a round toe. They’re reasonably priced and have held up really well over time despite daily abuse.

They are 38 foot, tall calf, and calf width is between XS and S (they are marked small but I had them taken in once in Italy already).

Dehner boots have a beautiful round toe. There are usually a few to be found on ebay.

I ordered a pair of the Dover Madison’s on COTH rec during the last Dover sale. Took weeks to arrive but came yesterday. I am impressed with the quality for the price. Round toes. Rode in them first day no blisters. They are soft but not “buttery”. Look like they’ll hold up to everyday riding. One caveat would be for me the foot size seems to run a bit small. I ordered up to a 9 (i’m between an 8 1/2 and 9 typically). Even the 9 is a bit on the snug side.

Same here. They’ve held up very well for being ridden in 5x a week for the past 7 months. They break in SO easily.

Darn…I need a 41!

Aw sorry. You can order semi custom ones in your size with a round toe

Sergio Grasso has some round toe boots - I love mine!

The tack store I run is a DeNiro dealer and like @IPEsq mentions, semi-custom DeNiro orders are very easy and affordable. It’s usually just 4-6 weeks delivery time too. Let me know if I can help.
