Tanheath Hunt Turkey Trot-info??

Hello Everyone

I’m looking for info on the Turkey Trot held by Tanheath Hunt in November. I picked up a flyer for the event at the Pomfret Hunter Pace a week ago and emailed the person listed on the flyer last week and i have yet to hear back yet.

Has anyone been?

If so; could you provide me with more info such as length, jumps, what exactly is the event? there was very little info on the hand-out about it. thanks in advance

This has a pdf file with info. I’ve never been but they’re a real great group!

The Tanheath Turkey Trot is a 6 mile long pleasure ride through the woods and fields of the Quinebaug Hatchery in Plainfield, Ct. There are no jumps and you ride at your own pace. You can go out alone or with friends. The object is find turkey symbols hidden along the ride. If you find one, you win a turkey. Lunch is included if you pre-enter. It’s an excuse to have some fun with friends and help support our hounds.

Turkey Trot

We went last year and it is a beautiful ride…

Also went last year, and it was really fun. Rode over trails that are generally not open.

Enjoy!
