We have an 800 pound pony colic over the weekend. He wants nothing to do with the Replenishmash. It smells bland.
He did better with Hydration Hay.
I do use Replenimash in the summer. My picky horse will happily eat that. The hydration hay was a hard no. I’m glad you found something and hope your pony is doing better!!
Interesting we had the exact opposite experience. Had a colicy pony who would not touch the Replinishmash but ate the Hydration Hay. My labrador of a horse loved the hydration hay. I have not tried the Replenimash with him.
I use the syringes of Magnagard, it ensures the horse gets what they need with minimal fuss.
I don’t know how effective it is as an electrolyte, but in addition to the Mad Barn electrolyte, my horse also loves Gatorade, any flavour
He whinnies when he sees me walking toward him with the little bucket, guzzles it down and licks the bucket.
