TBs bred for sport in PA/MD/VA?
Is MR still breeding? Or is the rest avail frozen? He’d be on my list if you know, I had a mare.
He s still breeding.

I gather your are just looking for TB Stallions? Mouse House Farm (in East PA) stands a WB and TB stallion and have some nice youngsters. I think Castle Rock has a few other good TBs still standing. There really are a ton in the area. I’d look at some of the race stallions in MD…they are affordable and nice types. Northview Stallion Station has a few I would look at…Rock Slide stands at Shamrock…I have a nice jumping mare by him (Rockstina). My mare raced but is now being leased out to a H/J barn…good enough jump for the hunters and enough scope for the jumpers…she’s a good event horse too.

what’s the name of the Twist line stallion??

I believe the poster was referring to Silver Twist, maybe.

You could try Jane Sleeper. I know she had some Harry the Hat youngsters at one time.

The Twist Line stallion is Classic Twist by Triple Twist out of Skipping Class. In a way he is the result of the COTH forums.

I’m in love with that female line (racing lines) but am totally unfamiliar with the sire. Eventers, fill me in on this Twist story?

awww… I just found the heartwarming story of Classic Twist here: http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-270318.html

Now I really want to see him!

Thanks everyone! You’ve given me some great places to start looking! I appreciate it!

Harry the Hat is at Castle Rock and they have other TB stallions as well. In the Bucks Co area is Meadow Echo Farm (Echo Meadow Farm). PM me before you go to Mouse House please.

Harry the Hat is showing up as pensioned on the Bloodhorse pages

Love the Twist line and it’s getting harder to find. We were lucky enough to get our hands on a Twist line mare for our program a few years ago. She has had 2 lovely WBx babies for us and we hope to have another next year if all goes well. This year’s foal is one of my favorites and I’m glad he’s a colt or it would be too tempting to keep him!

Thanks!

Our lovely TB mare, Camille (Prize Ring/Crystal Glen-Melyno) has at her side her third foal by As Di Villagana (HAN). Camille is HAN approved (best outside mare of her inspection) and is open for 2016.

She’s a beautiful type, and I have considered a full TB breeding, but must admit that dim sale prospects for such a match have deterred me from doing pursuing it.

Would be happy to do it on a designer basis, but otherwise…?

They still have young stock which is what OP is looking for.

Thanks again everyone. I would love to find a Harry The Hat baby but it’s proving to be a bit harder then I thought. Found one that moves lovely but isn’t as correct up front as I’d like.

I will have a black TB foal here in April that will be available out of this mare (Gone West granddaughter).
I am not on COTH much, so email if interested.

Salute the Truth is a Hoist The Flag bred…they tend to be a bit of a handful. This is more acceptable for eventers, but from previous post you are looking for an easy going hunter prospect so might not be the " type" you are seeking.
While it is true that Salute The Truth’s sire, Salutely, had a reputation for being a rogue, “Willy” is nothing like his father in that regard. He is very kind and is known for producing amateur-friendly offspring (I would guess that 95% of the people who breed their mares to him are amateurs looking for horses for themselves). They tend to be easy-going and easy to start. We put photos of his babies in a Facebook album along with info sent to us by the owners: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.428004341620.221862.82669431620&type=3

Erin, is you guy registered with the JC? Being a racing and steepleschase guy and remember the great Saluter well. I would like to be able to register the foal for racing if I wanted to go in that direction. I breed for the TB market and my own racehorses also. I have a mare that gets really nice foals, all have a lot of “jump” in them but were only moderate on the flat. So I have not bred her for a couple of years.

I’m not Erin, but yes–Salute the Truth is JC registered as Boy Done Good.

Thanks, Simkie. I don’t come on here much so I missed this. Yes, Salute The Truth = Boy Done Good. He’s got a few racing offspring out there, but really just a handful and only one that I know of that did much. Jazz Napravnik bred her favorite race mare, Farah’s Moment, to him and ended up with Farah T Salute - a multiple-stakes winning hurdler. “Tye” has been retired to broodmare duty - her first foal by Albert the Great is a 2 year old this year.
