Add one more for me! Buddha Power

Not sure this quite fits but I am trying to find the previous owner or ANY information on my TB mare. She isnt tattooed but we believe she might have been at the track OR it has been suggested that she was a rare twin and wasnt tattooed because she was the smaller one 15.2 She is 12 now by racehorse years. Bay with a blaze/white face. Her right eye is blue and her left is brown. Front left sock and two back socks. I bought her when she was 4 but would love to know her background/pedigree but very hard with no papers/tattoo!

I will also add to the list:

Robb That Glitters
Mr Good Guy
High Shot

For those of you who have OTTBs now (or had them in the past), I hope you’ll consider adding them to our “Bloodline Brag” on the Retired Racehorse Training Project website. We’re at about 600 entries and I would love to see it at more like 2000+!!

Here’s the link: http://www.retiredracehorsetraining.org/index.php?option=com_sobipro&sid=63&Itemid=163

Thanks! ;)[/QUOTE]

Actually sold my OTTB hunter to a nice family and they told me they are sending him to your farm for training in March  Funny coincidence! By the way I am IN LOVE the Salute The Truth. I visit him at the expo every year!

Looking for information on the horse “Stranglehold”. Anyone out here seen him? PM me if you have any information.

Tom Archdeacon, Grey gelding, (from Arlington) lives with me in Texas.

I recently got a gelding that I believe is Kipper Chemo (foaled 2000) in FL Newchance Farm? If anyone knows him or has any photos I would appreciate the info. I also have a positively IDd WV gelding 2002 Cliff’s Charm.

I have a few to add.

I leased this guy last year. He’s now in Parker, CO being used as a school horse. He taught my SO to ride

I had this one in NC as a training horse. He is being used as a hunter/jumper. I do know his current owner. He has a forever home there.

Stranglehold

Hey Beowulf, I had Stranglehold as a youngster when I was an AT at Finger Lakes. He was a cute little shit with a ton of personality. He then went to a young man on the track whose mom is a trainer at Finger Lakes and he adored him. I hope this means that you have him!

Mistyledo

I don’t know this mare, but I own her 2002 filly by APHA E Z Awesome. Her name is One Awsome Girl; black tobiano. I would also love to find more information on Ona’s Girl and if she is still around. Small world!

wow, I can’t believe I never saw this. No… I actually had his half-brother (same dam) and absolutely loved him - he was a cute little shit too with a jump that could blow most horses out of the water. Lost him in 2012 to what we assume was a lightning strike. If Stranglehold ever needs a home I would give him one, as from what you described he sounds like my late guy to a T.

On that note… if anyone knows where this mare is (MIDNIGHT ABBEY) I’d like to know:

Man if I tried to type out all the horses I worked with, I wouldn’t have any fingers left lol.

I recently acquired a horse through the CANTER IL trainer listings. The people I got him from at the track have been wonderful, but didn’t have him for all that long. I would love to know if anybody else knew him in his past life. His registered name is Imhereforagoodtime (which we will be keeping as a show name). He’s a son of Flashy Bull out of an Awesome Again daughter.

In my pasture right now I have -

Timpanogos 2000 grey mare raced at Portland Meadows and Grants Pass

Sweet Littledarian 2004 bay gelding raced at Portland Meadows.

Haven’t read this whole thread, but these are some that were quite special to me when I worked on the track that I’ve lost track of:

Grand Cherokee
Comeback
Rise N Go
Dubious Miss

 If anyone has worked with them at some point or knows where they ended up I would love to hear about it!

Lil Charlie Too

I’m sad to report that on 03/24/2016 we were forced to put Charlie down. For the past year we have been fighting worsening leg and hoof problems. Vets, farriers, medicine and treatments carried as far as we could go, but bad days consistently began to outnumber the good ones.

Even as his legs/mobility failed him, his HUGE loving heart never showed his pain. When he was able to walk he would follow you around the pasture and walk up behind you and lay his head on your shoulder to snuggle. Of course, he always let out a large exhale as his nose passed your ear prior to resting his head on your shoulder. This was really funny when someone like my wife that wasn’t used to him was in the pasture.

As we cared for him, there were the days that he could not walk and he would just lay in the pasture. Some times I would go and lay there by him. He would always move himself over so that he could somehow rest his head on me.

With all the horses I’ve been around, I’ve never seen one like Charlie and doubt I ever will again. We will never forget his smiles and big heart.

Now he can run without pain - R.I.P. Charlie (Lil Charlie Too)

I am lucky to have Illustrious Kiss 2002, (Kissin Kris - Illustrious Home) as my BN eventer, hunter pace partner, and overall great guy. He’s everything I had ever built up in my mind of what a TB should be.
