*TEAM* Obstacle Challenge?

Has anyone ever participated in (or seen) an Obstacle Challenge that is ridden as a team of two?

What kind of course was it? Arena or trail? What were some of the challenges?

Any suggestions for practice exercises? What things can we do, as a team, that “depend on teamwork” and have horses working together?

It sounds like fun for sure but I am having trouble thinking of ideas for practice other than the obvious like riding connected side by side or passing stuff back and forth…

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

These guys have a division for teams to compete. Its all done out on their course. Check out some of the pics. I’ve never been down there myself. Someone here on Cloth has been here, or was planning on going down last month. Maybe they’ll be able to chime in to give you some pointers.

:eek:Will you have any, uh, “obstacles” like those your friends encountered the other day?
(on their trail ride, and how the heck do you jump one of those if they are moving?)

LOL…you just step over it like a log, don’t step on it though or you might be in a tight squeeze…

Thanks Sentry, I’ll check that out!

How big (diameter and length) is that boa? And he was on the trail where your friends were riding? Are any of your friends (or their horses) missing?
Great for obstacle courses!

Good I.D. C&C!!

She is about 9-10’ long, 18" girth, and weighs 70-80lbs…we didn’t have time to take to the scale at Publix to weigh her…but it definitely takes 2 people to lift the carrier!

For many years there has been a “story” about a big snake being seen in that park…but no one who was actually looking for it was ever able to find it. On Thursday two friends of mine almost stumbled over her (snakey was moving across a snall meadow) and called us to come and catch her.

Here is the path she left in the grass…
