I’ve heard Pah-mooch-coo on the broadcasts
Like seriously!
Can you explain why they are not going for time?
The ground is likely hard in places…while there has been a lot of watering, Costello only indicated that there was one spot where they would move on…plus it must be super hot
Will and Off the Record were 2nd, Boyd and Fedarman B and Caroline and HSH Blake were farther down with a lot of time, so clearly not going for it as much. Liz had a fall off Cooley Nutcracker at fence 5B. I assume it was a fluke, but not sure what the fence was.
because this was just a see-how-they go and get them out one more time to see them before the last go at the Olympics. They already know who they want, just want to see them again. I have been watching the results, (event entries,) and Liz had a fall off of Nutcracker, I think.
this was just posted on FB there were about a dozen pics, I thought this was a link to them all, but it looks like not.
There was an immediate appeal by Joseph Murphy’s owners but nothing got changed, Jennifer Kuehnle should be going to Paris IMO
I wonder if an appeal is the reason for the delay in the announcement of Canada’s team. Perhaps team is not publicly announced until any appeal is considered.
Are you talking about the Irish eventer Joseph Murphy?
Over Susie Berry? Eh. She’s only contested one five star in her life and although she did well that’s a big step up on a team with so many seasoned riders. She’s one for the future though.
Don’t know if anyone is going to see this but ESPN has so far today-Sun 23 Jun staring at 1pm- had 2hrs of Traverse City **** GP Jumping (counts as a qualifier for International competition) followed by 2 hours of the KHP *****Defender Event (all three phases) and is now rolling into 2 hours of the Ky ****Invitational Grand Prix until 7pm.
I’m wallowing in it. The camerawork is very good, commentary accurate and informative. Who
knew….?? Hopefully somebody sees this and shares and/or it will be available somewhere.
someone else has mentioned it on h/j forum, and I was noodling thru the s/j thread about the Olympic team. Yikes!
That was me too. We NEVER get coverage like this on a mothership network.
I didn’t know Practical Horseman was still around!
I know I said earlier they weren’t actually going to push their horses on xc, but obviously, they would still want the best dressage scores, and I am slightly unnerved by the fact that Diabolo and Commander both scored better in dressage than OTR and Bruno at Stable view and Kentucky. They have both done better in the past, much better for OTR, and it could be the judges, or just not up on that day, but weird.
Your Canadian Selection team is ;
The Selection Panel for the 2024 Olympic Games are as follows:
- Bruce Mandeville, Chair
- Bruce Haskell
- Bonnie Mosser
It looks as though today is the last day for all riders, owners and grooms to have all documentation signed and returned. Should have an announcement this week hopefully. Nothing like leaving it last minute.
One of the hopefuls is my barn owner. We’ve been told the 26th, after they all go to Quebec, whether they know/have announced or not. On tenterhooks around here!
I did notice all of that coverage on my TV’s channel guide but unfortunately I don’t get the ESPN channels.
