Tech Athena Jumper stirrups

So I’ve been in the MDC “s” stirrups for years. Really no complaints but they are heavy and with the new aluminum options as well as better grip footbeds, I’m interested in seeing what people thought of these

I do have weak ankles due to make previous injuries so that is a factor as well.

So who has these? What about the plus, are those better?

I really want something light and grippy

I have these! They definitely fit the bill for all of those things. I have weak ankles too. They definitely seem to help with that. Won’t necessarily stop my ankles from buckling to the outside when fatigued, but I seem to be able to ride longer before that happens than in regular stirrups.

They’re super grippy. I haven’t lost my stirrups except for the one time I got fully parted from my horse. :joy: Light weight enough to be comfortable and not clunky but they have enough substance to them that it’s easy to get your foot back in if you drop them. My biggest complaint about the Compositi wide tread ones that I had before was that they were so light that they’d flap around if I dropped or lost them.

I have an ankle that wants to break to the outside.

I got myself the Tech Venice slope stirrups, the foot bed has just enough slope so my ankle remains stable, plus it is also a safety stirrup!

I love these stirrups. I put my feet in and I can essentially forget about the stirrups while I concentrate on everything else.

I have bad ankles (and knees) and had the Tech Stirrups for years and loved them!
