Hi guys,
I just bought a Harry Dabbs that I love, and it has this serial number:
399d014
does anyone have any insight into what it means? this saddle says that it was bought at stateline tack on a little metal tab by the stirrup bar, and has the stateline tack logo stamped by the stirrup leather keepers on both sides. It’s nicely balanced, comfy, and seems to have decent quality leather (and I got it at an unbeatable price) so now I’m curious as to what model it is.

If you email the folks at Dabbs, they can fill you in on what it is and when it was made. Mine has the model name on the cover that came with it, and on the billet guards IIRC, but from the serial number they were able to tell me the size/model/date of manufacture. The email I used, admittedly several years ago, was info@saddlery.co.uk
Your numbers look very different than make sense for what I was able to decode from mine. My first 4 digits were month/year of manufacture, and the last two were the seat size. But that wouldn’t make any sense for yours.
