Tell me about your Furstenball offspring

I have seen quite a few mares of his in Germany at the mare shows, some stallion sons at the licensing and watched a bunch of videos of the recent Bundeschampionat. Of course those horses are the “best of his get”. So my question is tell me about what he has produced for you? Qualities? How are they under saddle (if old enough)? What kind of mare did you use (qualities and bloodlines)?

Links to pictures too:-)

I have used 3 doses on 2 mares and had 2 pregnancies but no foals :frowning:

But I have seen a handful of Furstenball foals/youngsters. All from very different warmblood mares. All the foals are leggy, rangy youngsters with superb hock action, great length of stride and super springy. Good long necks, lovely shoulders, built uphill. Some are longer in the back than others. Some have doe-like faces with wide foreheads and prominent eyes, others are a bit plain of face.

I have a friend with one filly newly under saddle. She says nothing but good things about the way the filly goes, learns, and copes with new information. She hasn’t lost her stride or spring!

He has, without exception, improved the on the mares overall.

I agree, he is a very consistent sire who produces very nice offspring. I’ve known a handful, and ridden two. The ones I know personally are from a variety of mares, but are all bigger/taller than their dams, but also leggier and more modern in type overall. The two I started under saddle (both as colts) were easy, smart, and sensitive but sensible. They don’t always want to have the quickest hind end, so I’d breed him to a mare who is both strong and quick behind. He seems to produce very elastic movers, phenomenal rideability, and puppy dog characters, but I would probably not use him with the idea of toning down sensitivity in a mare.
