Tell Me Your Favorite Show Shirts for the Hunters

So right now I have a white cotton snap collar button show shirt that fits incredibly awkward and uncomfortable - I feel like I’m wearing Seinfeld’s puffy shirt  it’s just very baggy even though it’s the correct size and fits in the shoulders. I believe it’s a cheaper RJ Classics model.

Anyway, can you guys recommend your favorite fitted (maybe stretchy) show shirts with a snap button collar? Thank you!

Essex Talent Yarn are fabulous.

I second Essex Talent Yarn. They are amazing. If you have any of the EIS sun shirts the sizing is the same.

I’ve had my eye on them! Any cheaper alternatives? I might just bite the bullet…

Ariat has a Sunstopper Showshirt that retails around $50. I have had people who have both the Talent Yarn and Ariat tell me they thought the Ariat was much cooler. I’m going to be sweating, if I’m riding and it is 20 degrees, so I plan to show in mine all year. They have been the most amazing thing, besides my RJ Classic Xtreme Soft Shell coat, I have discovered. I was crushed this weekend to have to wear a regular shirt to show in today. I showed Friday, Saturday, and today and only have 2 of the Sunstopper shirts.

FITS Claire and Annas are like wearing nothing.

The main decider for me is how the neck fits. I am thin, and many of the snap necks are too big. Looks silly. So my favorite is the Ariat Pro Series one. Really nice shirt. Textured front, mesh sleeves, cute snaps everywhere including on sleeves. FYI, NOT the cheaper Ariat one, whatever it is called. This one:

The necks on the FITS and Talent Yarn were too big, but otherwise I loved those shirts too.

I am seriously obsessed with my Tredstep Symphony. It is the only one that fits my long arms and it’s so cool and light. Very fitted without being clingy.

Another vote for Essex.

Yep definitely the Talent Yarn shirts! If you keep an eye out on Tack of the Day they have been selling them for about $60 when they have them. I primarily do jumpers and use them in the ring all the time and they have been perfect for my occasional local hunter show as well! Definitely keep you VERY cool in the summer!
