Will this charger do the trick?http://www.zarebasystems.com/store/electric-fence-chargers/8612z

Or how about this one?

How about this wire?

Or this tape?

Any insight?

I prefer the ribbon as it’s wider and more noticeable. The 2nd charger would be better as it uses D batteries. The one I like the most is a green one that uses 2 D batteries and I got it from KV Vet. YOu also need posts and I prefer the step in posts - get white for more visability.

The second charger is not nearly hot enough.

I prefer tape as well.

They make round step in posts that are easy and strong, too.

I have a Zareba charger which is a diferent model than what you posted. It uses D cell batteries and has worked fine for me. I like the ribbon type as it stands out better. I found step in posts that are 4 foot when stepped in and I run it around the posts to create two levels that looks more “fence” like. My mare was trained as a hunter and I was afraid the shorter posts would not contain her. https://flic.kr/p/6r4xXt You can see to the right of the picture that I threaded the ribbon thru a gate handle to make a gate. I put a large ring on the step in post to hook the handle to. This works great.

Hi-Tie.

Arrive, swing out arm, attach horse, done. No posts, no wide vs. narrow, no chargers, etc. Best things ever.

I use a charger with D cells and tape. Step in poles are the bomb. It has worked for me, but my horses are used to electric.
