Temporary Stabling on Hitchcock Woods

I cross posted this under Eventing too.

My husband and I are planning a long weekend to bring our horses to Aiken and ride in Hitchcock Woods. Are there any places to board for 3 nights that are hacking distance to the woods? I have only stayed in Aiken for horse trials, and I would rather not have to hook up the trailer each day if there is another option. Our 2 horses are very well-behaved and used to traveling to shows. We will be staying downtown at the Willcox. We will be coming for my birthday weekend-- May 12-15. Feel free to PM me if you have a private barn too!

You can check us out at www.pascovafarm.com

Thanks!

It would be a bit of a hack as it is on the far side of the horse district from Hitchcock woods, but there is a barn there with about 100 stalls, no kidding, that has a sign up that stalls are $99 a month. I can drive by and get the number for you if you want.

Red Stable Barn (or could be Red Barn Stable.) Gina Pisctatello (sp.)
Stable on the Woods.
The trotter track (mentioned above) is totally self care, with no overnight watch or anything.
Call any of the several tack shops there (Boots Britches and Bridles, Oak Manor, etc.) and ask - I’ve found the kids that work in both to be quite knowledgeable.
There’s several. Just google.

Red Barn Stable

red barn stable is gina salatino. (still sp. but that is her last name). they hack from there all the time. i would call her first. call holly spencer at the saddle doctor (at the aiken training track) for her (gina’s) number. the barn is right next door to her “office”.

or have you tried calling the Will cox to ask them for advice as to where to stable since you are staying there?? they are really nice there!!
