Temporary stud divider?

I need some ingenuity help. I need to haul a load of horses early next month, across multiple states. I have a four horse slant with standard dividers. I will have two dry mares, and one mare with a foal at her side; probably around a month old, it still hasn’t been born yet, and I’m waiting on his/her arrival to schedule the trip. Mare and foal will be in a double stall.

I don’t think I’ve hauled foals with horses in the other stalls previously, so even if they got underneath, no harm no foul. Does anyone have an ingenious ideas on creating a temporary stud divider? This trailer will be listed for sale later this year, so I do not want to punch holes in the dividers to hang anything.

Mats, hung with rope wrapped around the divider. If you need support up by where the head pieces get tall, I’d screw the mat into a 2x4 to make it a VERY heavy flag-type-thing. Edit: But, you should be able to get that end support by using the gap where it meets the wall - use the hinge as the support point.

Yep that would probably work. Thanks!

two trips?

We have never hauled a foal but have weanlings, those guys need a lot of room

A double stall is plenty. It makes a box stall. Just need to keep them from rolling under the other stalls.
