Temu breeches - who’s tried them?

Hey all,

I was online shopping for some breeches and next thing I know I’m getting ads for breeches on temu. I have to say, they look pretty similar to some of the styles I was looking at online, especially those stretchy, side pocket, schooling type styles that are available.

So the question is, who’s tried them? Have you shopped on other low cost websites for horsey things? Amazon? Looking to hear what you’ve tried and what you found!

Based on gardening things I have bought on Temu - you are probably going to get some cheaply made breeches. But if they are cheap enough and you are going to be OK with the fact you are going to get what you pay for - then go ahead and purchase them. Weed barrier, netting, solar lights have been fine, electronics have been hit and miss. They will probably look better in the pictures but may be serviceable.

I wear cheap breeches from Amazon. Um, these ones?

I have no complaints. I paid $29 a pop. They’re not going to last forever, but they’ve got a thigh pocket for my phone and do the job for me just fine!

I bought these and these from Amazon. They are not quality, durable breeches but I like them. They are light and stretchy which is great for hot weather. Both have a phone pocket.

I pretty much live in the FitsT4 tights from Amazon. I wear each pair a couple of times a week and then wash them and they have held up fine. I show in them too (unrecognized eventing and unrecognized and recognized dressage). They are on Temu too, I think, but cheaper on Amazon.

Ive bought dresses, leggings and tee-shirts from Temu. The quality can be hit and miss - and the sizing “varies”.

The “going out” dresses are very nice for the (very) cheap price. The sewing looks to be good and strong. Oldest is 12 months old and still looks good. My “mucking around the house” tee-shirt dresses - well, they do sag a bit after a few wears but they are true to size as well. Oldest is about 6 months and I would buy them again. (And they were CHEAP - on clearance  they were less than $NZD10 for 3 - the white ones are HORRID and get disposed of.)

The puffer coat, I bought this year, is actually very good - (we are in winter in NZ) it’s warm, comfortable and has lasted torrential rain and gale force wind well as in I didnt get wet. The only strange thing, you cant unzip it all the way - well, the bottom of the zip doesnt open :).

Athletic wear - material is thin and doesnt last long. But I buy shorts and leggings in multi-packs so others may be better. The leggings are comfortable but it’s a gym session or a walk - they dont last all day. There are two types of tee-shirts - one in this yucky nylony fabric and the others are standard tee-shirt material. The 1st was out and I didnt wear them at all. The others are okay - they are not going to last long and, as a larger busted woman, the sizing is off.

The one thing that I will buy more of - well I have five including two as spares. I have thick but fine long hair - and it gets tangled easily. Their de-tangler brushes are AMAZING!!! Two strokes and my tangles are out and my hair is sitting well. I bought one for my horse whose mane gets tangled easily - it took more as the witches love riding that mare! - but it is so much easier to use this detangler brush than the old fingers and combs. And it also works on my collie’s butt fluff.

Well, that didn’t take much encouragement. I’ve loaded some cheap riding tights in my Amazon cart now. Hoping the size chart is accurate and that they’re long enough so I’m not wearing capris. I’m hoping they’ll be comfy for summer riding (western) with half chaps. Thankfully they’ll be easy to return if they don’t fit!

Haha. Let us know what you think once you get them. The ones I have tried were actually nice and long.

I have a pair of FitsT4 tights and I honestly don’t like them. I keep them as a “just in case” (in case of what, IDK, some emergency where my other 10+ pairs of preferred breeches go missing?) but I find them itchy and they chafe my legs for some reason. But that could totally be a me thing, since so many other people like them. :joy:

I find a lot of the Amazon clothing varies in fabric and cut from color to color, so that may be why we all have different experiences.

I loved the Kerrits something-something pull-on riding tights with the thigh pockets. I figured I could use them for hiking, too. But gosh dang, the inseam was a good 2-inches shorter than the size chart claimed.

That’s what I’ve found with Baleaf stuff I get off Amazon. I wear their fleece lined leggings all fall and winter, including under my work chaps if I’m riding when it’s really cold. But certain colors are more snug and some are shorter in both leg length and rise. It’s kind of bizarre, isn’t it?

I not only tried them but I showed in them! I have such a hard time keeping whites clean. On a whim I ordered a pair of the TEMU breeches in white and they were great! They aren’t quite see through, but they are more like leggings than breeches. Anyway, I wore them my last two USDF shows and liked them as well as my fancier ones. They did great and came clean soaked in Oxyclean like my normal ones. I will be wearing them again at Regionals and actually just ordered another pair because that week is longer so I need more whites!

Oh cool! Thanks for the product review. I need a source of cheap stuff. My cheap TEMU muck fork is the same as the more expensive ones sold at TSC.

Not Temu, but I tried some from Shein and they rubbed the crap out of my knees. I have some from Amazon that don’t rub but the sizing is kind of random - I bought two pairs in the same size in different colors, and one pair is noticeably longer/slides down. But, I have had them both for three years now and they are still in decent shape - the silicon seat has worn down but I actually prefer them like that.
