Tenacious Tape for blanket repair

Anyone tried it? I already stitched the tear but looking for better waterproofing. It looks like it should work but the last thing I need is for it to curl up and attract mud or fall off in the middle of rug season when it would be inconvenient to launder the thing and get it professionally patched.

I have used this to repair my Wheely Beast suitcase. Holds like iron

I’ve used it on the lining of turnouts and it works great! Some other similar brands don’t work as well.

I’ve used Gorilla Tape with success. Some patches have been on for years and have been through the washing machine.

Tenacious Tape fixes everything. I once had a mountaineering pack that was more Tenacious Tape than backpack.

I have also used it to fix a turnout rug.

Yes. I’ve used the Gear Aid version you linked to and it works well. Make sure you clean the fabric where you’ll apply the patch so it has a good surface to stick to. I’ve had patches on for multiple years including washing them.

I was actually a bit worried about this- I wondered if the waterproofing (Nikwax) would make it harder to stick to. Then again, GearAid assumed we would be using these on waterproofed tents too.

I clearly don’t have enough fun outside because I’ve never had a repair I couldn’t make with a needle!
