Maybe it’s true and maybe it’s whole cloth fraud. In any event I’m not impressed by “anonymous sources.” One, three, or a hundred and three.
The Tennessean and Huffington Post are both quoting the same document; any honest and fair person would question the document.
Get me the tape from which the transcript was prepared and we can have a much more honest and intelligent discussion.

He(bundy) also lied,lead people to believe what he did was ok. as do the Big Lick trainers,some fall for it like the owners of the abused TWHs,other just turn and look the other way so they can win
I think aarpaso means that Ted Bundy was considered handsome and charismatic. He used those traits to lure women to kill them.

I actually bought a Heritage TWH since I planned on using it up in the mountains for Search and Rescue work here in the mountains of Colorado. The only thing I really knew about TWH for years was the horrible Big Lick horses, padded shoes and soring. I was extremely lucky to actually ride one in western tack and keg shoes. For trail riding, you just cannot beat the ground covering smooth stride!
Unfortunately my SAR days are over, but I now own two TWH! They are smart, gentle, easy to train and ride. Mine are ridden barefoot except for the times I do ride in the mountains and then I place Easy Boots on their front feet only. Both are five years old and have been used for driving cattle, extreme trail riding, a short endurance ride (15 miles) and even jumping. Yup, the Heritage TWH are the way to go for versatility and comfort.
Annelabs, welcome you are so right thats the best TWH to ride.the foundation stock of the TWH.they sure have the versatility, comfort and kindness you want in a good horse partner.

To overplay the paciness of the ‘average TWH’ is to throw out a lot of really nice horses. I have a grandson of Pusher and Coins Hard Cash that is the smartest, most surefooted, brave, and kind horse anyone could ask for eight days a week. He has nice gaits but more importantly for me- an amazing brain and willingness to try, all day long.
I get the desire to suggest all ‘high bred’ TWHs are pacy trash, but dang that is unfair to the animal standing in front of you.
The McCurdy’s are a spin off of the TWH, reputed to have purer gaits, or at least you’d think so. They are based not 80 miles south of me. Almost every one I’ve met is a pacey SOB, and I do mean pacey.
Evaluate the horse, not the label.

Nonsense…100 women…not even near and absolutely no evidence to even suggest that.
I interviewed the man on numerous occasions. That was NEVER a figure brought up by interviewing psychiatrists, psychologists or anyone else.
But then the truth is never as interesting
