I needed the smile this morning to see a snippet of what goes on very often during testing… try this, now try this, what happens when you do this or that… 
I got 4 of the 6 notifications. When first 4 notifications showed in message box there was nothing there,then the notifications showed again in message box, and they were there under notifications. Still no notification link showing in toolbar. I’m getting notifications through the message link. Going back into dismissed notification all 6 are showing. But i never got all 6 only 4. I tried logging out then logging back in to see if notification link would reappear, nope didn’t work.

@tazycat I was logging in and out of your account to check the notifications while I was sending them back and forth between our accounts, so you may not have seen all of them as new notifications because I was clearing them.
What I believe I found is that if your same message is quoted multiple times (at least if it’s by the same user), you only receive one notification. I’m now forgetting the results of everything I tested, but I think if you’re also quoted AND tagged in a post, you only receive one notification.
Generally, all the notifications seemed to be working properly from what I could tell through testing, though I wasn’t seeing your Notifications link either.
Now, I can ask the developers to look into it, because I fiddled with and checked your settings and couldn’t find any reason why that was no longer visible, but I have a question first: Do you actually need that tab? Do you get a lot of PMs, so that it’s a hassle to have to differentiate when there’s a notification of a new PM vs. a new notification through your Message Center?
I do actually want to know the answer because I can’t figure it out, but is the functionality something you actually need if there’s a problem restoring it?

Would be nice to have the notification link, but not critical to have it. I don’t get a lot of PMS, mostly notifications which i’m receiving through the message link. Only having message link isn’t ideal but it’s doable. Don’t know if i’m getting a PM or have been tagged or quoted until i click on to see.

@Moderator 1 Not getting notification when being tagged. Was tagged today and nothing in my notifications,was getting them for a time now today i’m not.
