The username could very well be alluding to reincarnation.
Schrodingerâs database.
A grudge or more like a boner.
Iâm sure that for the right $$ you too could employ whatever pet psychic was able to communicate with her horse/the spirit realm and pass on these priceless bits of wisdom (aka cutting edge research!) that refutes everything we peons know currently.
@Fellbutbackup itâs awfully nice of you to so publicly thank the people who tried really patiently and tirelessly (looking at you especially @JB !) to educate you. Hope some of it stuck.
That was my guess
Wow this was a wild ride!
Also my thought.
Glad Iâm not the only one thinking it. I had wondered where Palm Beach disappeared to.
:lol::lol: I too wondered about a reincarnation of PB.
and BTW @Amy3996 Palm Beach was banned.
Add me in as a vote that itâs PB.
This is really unfortunate, because I finally managed to track down this guy I know who knows A LOT about this stuff.
(Heâs really hard to get in touch with, because heâs totally off grid and it takes a lot of intermediaries and knowing code words to get in contact. Real cloak and dagger stuff, but youâll understand why.)
Anyway, turns out the reason you shouldnât give your horse (or anyone, including yourself!) vegetable oil is that all those so-called farmers growing it are tools of the Illuminati. Those "crop circles " are actually secret symbols they use to communicate with each other.
He says cold-pressed olive oil is THE WORST, because OF COURSE the Illuminati are all over Italy and especially infiltrating the Catholic church. They are working to bio engineer a mind control system, and are only months away from taking over the globe.
The only way to be safe is to eschew vegetable oils entirely, which is why I now use only mink oil to cook all my food (the Illuminati have yet to corrupt mink farmers, but, according to my friend, itâs only a matter of time)⊠so, unless you want to wake up one day and find your horse voting for Bernie Sanders and promoting âclean energyâ as part of New Green Order, I suggest you switch to mink oil RIGHT NOW and pray itâs not too late.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Honestly Iâd still really like to know what the deal with vegetable oil is! 10 pages and still no resolution. What is the deal!?
It causes ulcers, Lyme disease, kissing spine and navicular.
This is great!!! Thank you for brightening my day
:lol::lol: better toss it outta my cupboard, then!
Apparently if you really did know the deal, your life might be in danger
hahahahaha
I swear I had this OP as a boarder⊠Lasted for about three months before I showed her the door.
Not kidding.
WowâŠhow did I miss this thread? This has been entertaining.
But sort of on topic⊠I donât think that KER would use hydrogenated oil in its hind gut supplement if hydrogenated oils were bad for the hind gut. But of course its main purpose is to get the active ingredient to the hind gut. https://ker.com/equinews/answer/hydrogenated-fats-equine-diets/
The link also discusses reasons why you might choose one type of fat for other purposes, like palatability.
This study compared saturated vs unsaturated fats: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/10659301/
âIn conclusion, no apparent adverse effects of feeding a diet supplemented with either an unsaturated or saturated vegetable oil for 6 months at approximately 20% DE after 10 months at approximately 12% DE were identified and there were no apparent disadvantages of feeding a saturated vegetable oil supplemented diet compared with an unsaturated one.â
Most prilled/non-liquid fat supplements are hydrogenated vegetable oil. There are plenty of high saturated fat liquid products out there too, like the ones that contain coconut oil.
Horses are also more efficient at digesting carbohydrates and fats for energy (less so for protein). So, if you want to avoid a lot of grains in the diet but need more energy, feeding a higher fat diet is a good way to get that energy without feeding a high grain diet that could potentially cause hind gut acidosis.
