Walmart used to carry a treat called “We Pity the Kitty” made by Three Dogs Bakery. It was freeze dried Alaskan salmon… my cat LOVED it… sadly my Walmart stopped carrying it, but it seems to ba available online…
I’ve got two cats. One is an ex barn cat that loves spring and summer because occasionally there’s a bug in the house that she gets to hunt. She eats anything. Grands biscuits, scrambled eggs, cheese, the occasional chip, yogurt, spaghetti sauce, milk, any type of cat food/treat, obviously anything even remotely meat like, bagels, and I saw her eat part of a baked potato once. Basically, anything that hits the floor. She’s ridiculous… and pretty hysterical.
The other cat is EXTREMELY picky and allergic to some things commonly used to cat food/treats (between us and the vet, we can’t figure out what but she definitely allergic to something in there!) but she LOVES the greenies! They have my, er… their vote too!
Temptations in Catnip flavor. Fresh (not dried!) catnip. And Mr Jet loves deli ham. (Not ham off the bone, only processed deli ham or turkey. He’ll only beg for that.)
My rescue kitty told me he could live on just Temptations treats. But I bought some Greeneis today based on what you all have said. I gave him two and he is sitting here, crying for more.
P.S. Greenies are on sale right now at Pet Smart.
When I glanced at this thread title, at first I didn’t see the word “treats” and was a little concerned.
My four cats all love the Goodlife Recipe treats, which is a blessing because, with any other kind of treat, even the Greenies, one or the other of them will turn up their noses. Such royalty!
Thought of chicken, didn’t you!

Me too, I keep wondering what you are feeding such tasty kittens to.
Our cats would do flips for pieces of plain cheese.
We could not leave a bread bag out, one would eat thru the plastic and munch thru a corner of the bread in it, whole wheat preferred.
Whatever I happen to be eating at the moment.
Seriously. This cat is obsessed with food - he eats pizza crust, even. And god forbid you have something like bacon, ham, or turkey.
He’ll politely stalk you around and keep reminding you that sharing is caring
Two of our family cats loved croissants. They’d beg for them and they didn’t beg for anything else.
I just got some Bench and Field Feline Treats and the vote is unanimous: they’re great.
LOL, I am glad I don’t have the only bread stealer…:lol::lol:

little pieces of meat or fish? most commercial treats for dogs or cats have disgusting ingredients, cost a fortune, and are no where near as attractive as well, some steak you bought on sale.[/QUOTE]
Yup! My cat LOVES canned tuna fish
I feed my cats Greenies and Yummy Chummies. They kill each other for the Yummy Chummies. They smell TERRIBLE though.

Does Goodlife make the Hip Action variety? My cat goes nuts for those. OTOH, put anything in a crinkly bag and he’ll act like it’s a treat. So, we use often use kibble.
(He’s on Science Diet oral care which has a very large kibble. So any small kibble food, as far as he’s concerned, is the equivalent of a treat.)
My cat loves the Greenies. Bought some for my trainer’s barn cat. He didn’t like them. I’ve bought a few kinds for him that he’s rejected–maybe they need to make them in mouse and lizard flavors! He does eat the hairball ones I got. Catz iz weird!
After reading this, I will have to get some greenies for the kitty! She is not big on any sort of beef (rejected even a piece of very nice roast… dog was happy to clean up that one) but she loves shrimp, tuna and chicken. She likes turkey but won’t really go nuts over it. The only commercial treat she has had is carribbean-flavored Pounce, which we only really use if we need a distraction- just shaking the jar has her running!
My cat goes freaking nuts for PORK CHOPS. He can smell when I am cooking them for dinner and will sit by my chair and poke me continuously until I give him some. He likes chicken too -but it does not cause the frantic begging that pork chops do!
Sadly, my cat won’t eat treats:( I’ve tried soft ones, crunchy ones, pieces of chicken and bacon(cooked and raw), cheese, yogurt, etc. He has no interest.
He’s a very picky eater. The only way I could get him to eat canned food was by turning it into a slurpy.
Our vet sells “Lean Treats” for cats and dogs. My animals BOTH go wild for these. They are not expensive…like $2.50 for a bag.
