For anyone who’s interested in Thoroughbred breeding, this is wonderful.

In the first session, two top pedigree consultants, Fiona Craig and Alan Porter pick stallions for three top mares (Enable, Deirdre and Midnight Bisou) and explain their thinking. That session is now available on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJrhHfIQBj4

“Over four weeks, participants will be given a hypothetical portfolio of mares. The task is to research each mare, review both her physical attributes and pedigree, and choose a suitable stallion. The participants are then given a lesson over a live Zoom conference call by experts, who are brought in to discuss the submissions and say who they would mate each mare with.”

@LaurieB thanks for posting this! Will be interesting to read and learn more about the ‘game’ of owning a mare and deciding which stallion is the best fit as well as maybe learning some about what a stallion manager may look at when putting a mare in a stallion’s book (although I know this is more focused on the mare side).
