Are they implying that if they continued to be owners Martin would do this to spite them? I think that if someone was that evil and spiteful they would continue to do evil things in spite even without ownership. I find that akin to believing kidnappers will release someone once ransom is paid.
So I think they are all batty.
This just in…
“Well well…but yet tthere are those that say he looked marvelous upon arriving in Chicago. God was looking out for him b y allowing the foot injury in England. We’re it not for that there is no telling how things may have hone.Gid knows Martin does not see Chrome as anything but money. He can see the cold black heart he has towards this innocent horse.”
Allrighty then - wish she would use spell check…or something.

It seems that the woman who was planning to host a protest demonstration in So CA against Chrome’s future racing plans no longer has the posting on the BCH site. It has disappeared for now. But before it did, she had actually hoped to receive national TV coverage of her planned ‘event.’
There’s a recent picture of that woman, (Kerri F) on the BCH page, posing with the Coburns. I know - don’t judge a book, etc., etc. - but she LOOKS la-la-land-loopy.

Read the part about halfway through concerning the differences in training methods between Britain and the US.
I couldn’t believe that Art Sherman thinks that all that hill work isn’t needed. Hello?

This whole media/ social media situation smells wrong. Not good for the average Joe who happens to champion a winning horse. There is definitely a rat scurrying about. Perhaps more than one.
I was sure there was a clause in the sales contract about no-commenting, but perhaps I was wrong. I think the Coburns walked away with a very hefty bank deposit and truthfully, the world has been a far nicer place without Carolyn’s endless whining about Martin.
If Art is smart he will not allow the Coburns in to visit if they are going to start all of this whining about his racing schedule.
Art’s son trains the other DAP sibling up in No CA, so I doubt they will not be allowed to have a look-in on Chrome when he arrives at Los Alamitos.

Yes, but BCH’s response to someone inquiring where the photo was taken is that it was at Los Al. That actually looks like a restaurant at Santa Anita – the one where you can reserve a table all day for the races.

BCH told someone questioning about the photo that it was taken at Los Alamitos. Someone corrects her, and Kerri admits that it is not Los Al (it’s Santa Anita). The administrator is clueless.
In a recent BloodHorse article about Chrome, someone posted that the Karri woman was booted out of the Sherman barn for being a nut. (I think she originally was a friend of Carolyn Coburn.)

Or that he thought Rae Guest planned to take Chrome off the plane straight to the gallops for a series of hard and fast mile works?

I didn’t get that at all from the article. Just that Sherman was noting the differences in training and that may have been a factor in Chrome’s demeaner and appearence. Simply the difference in training not that it is not needed.

All that hill work certainly doesn’t seem to hurt the European horses who come over to run on our flat surfaces for the Breeders’ Cup…

I agree. My point was Sherman was just pointing out training differences. Do you suggest that all American racehorses need to start training on hills. Maybe they should but it isn’t gonna happen anytime soon due to many factors.
This BCH person has an incredibly depressing persona. Spends an unhealthy amount of time whining about someone else’s troubles? If any of this was real and the horse was in extreme danger I am sure that one of these hero’s would at least report to the proper authorities and an investigation would have been underway by now. It is, so to speak, “the cowards way out” to hide behind an anonymous profile or to whine about one’s difficulties to a blogger buddy and not take action to do the right thing yourself. One should at least read the article before posting a childish tirade. Deleting and re-posting a faulty dissertation is well… telling of an employment problem.
The administrator has nothing to report at the moment so rants on and on to fill the page. She needs better sources. Her continuing speculation about ‘all things Chrome’ could be remedied by contacting those with the info – but she never does. Why not???
Chrome fans ‘Fran’ and ‘Priscilla’ continue to beseech anyone with their hopes to pay a visit to their hero after he arrives in Los Alamitos and keep asking for info on how to accomplish that. Silence. No one is coming up with a response to them. Not the administrator, not even neurotic Coburn-friend, Karri, nor Willie del Gado who follows the page.
I think I may have an idea who the admin is at this point.
I think the admin is from the Philadelphia area. There is a “like” for a sandwich shop from that vicinity, plus, didn’t she (assuming female here) hint that she saw Chrome when he raced there?
Additionally, what about this person with all of the supposed “inside information” regarding Art and the rest of the bunch? A lot of this stuff doesn’t sound very logical to me, but then logic has never been their long suit.
I love the post by Steve Michelle. Says he is close to the horse and the connections. Refers to him as Junior and says Junior’s worth has dropped by 6 mil in the last year. Junior has lost that fire to win and has basically turned into a puppy dog of a horse. My favorite paragraph in the whole long post:
“Junior will not win another race unless he’s put in against $10K claimers, and that ain’t gonna happen. He doesn’t have the fire anymore. And that’s ok. I would gladly take him here on my farm. I would let him cover just a few mares and then have him guilded so he could just be happy and live out his life.”

I had thought that the admin has never actually seen Chrome in the flesh for herself. (If so, I can’t understand even more so the fanaticism). I had surmised it was in a different part of the country. Hmm…? Could be…
I was laughing at the mud-slinging match between BCH’s administrator and the people posting on that Sherman article towards the end of the comments. She admits to being the one who runs BCH, who in their right mind would confess to that? I arrived too late to get in the fray. She received a good nose-bruising but is too ignorant to realize it. ‘Pure as the snow’ she acted like – no mention of the abusive cursing rants on her site. I’d laugh if Martin lodged a lawsuit against her.

Chrome doesn’t need to be guilded. He is already very shiny.

Actually I just found on the article with Art Sherman the phone pic on the posts near the bottom - that is the woman’s name who I suspected. If you notice, she ‘likes’ many postings, but never when BCH’s admin does at the same time. And she never posts herself since I’ve been coming to it. And her personal FB page is locked down like FT Knox. If the research is on track, she could be in real estate sales in Utah, or at one time. Someone said somewhere that she is 21, but she sounds like a 12 year old. Geez, this makes ME look like a stalker!
