The "Bring Chrome Home" crowd is batty, but...
I agree with the Coburn tag. If it is, what a terrible way to talk about the horse you ‘love.’
Even if they are going to gold plated him…

What valve? Maybe he can fix his own valve if he’s in the pipe fitters guild?
I wish we weren’t all banned so that someone could go on and ask, “Just WHICH Coburn are you?” to this Steve Michelle.
What a joke the Steve Michelle individual is. They are now stating that they have been with Chrome since Day One. Not trying to hide themselves very well, are they? It’s so obvious that it sounds like Coburn input, it’s probably not.

SM toys with BCH member Denise Marins by playing clue-do and saying they met in the paddock during the Vox Populi award time. If you merely smile and wave at the Coburns, you’ll get invited to join them.

It sounds more and more like Carolyn. She never seemed to know when to stop before, and it’s getting nastier and nastier. I’m sure there must have been a no-comment clause in the contract, but this doesn’t seem to have much effect.

If I owned 4 or so other horses with Martin as the majority owner, personally, I would remain very quiet and unobtrusive as possible until something could be resolved and/or forgiven/forgotten.

“His value has dropped 6.4 million dollars” according to “Steve Michelle” “you just don’t know it yet because is hasn’t been publicly published yet”.

“Non disclosures are processed so that would be why nobody can know who I am, at least for now”. (Hello!! IP address!)

Their dramatics are painful enough, yet they have not enough kindness for a Coup de grace.

I , like Chrome, am dying! Their grammar twists the knife slowly into my soul as they laugh at my predicament… I am, as is the mighty Chrome, dying for a glimpse of reason , a ray of sunshine, my childhood, an old friend, more cookies, someone to protect me from whackos…etc…etc…

If there is any ‘supposed’ litigation coming, it should be Martin against his ex-partners for not adhering to privacy agreements.

BCH commenter ‘Steve Barnyard’ posts that PETA should be involved. :grief:

Anyone want to post that PETA would just put him down?

Or at the very least, guilde him–no baby horses wanted here.

From the BCH page;

“I’m dreading the day he doesn’t break a leg and they say oh screw it. Mt thoroughbred colt this year his first outing broke his leg and was put down how do horses like this just keep running and running and not get seriously injured”

:confused:What the hell is this person saying?:confused:

I speak (and understand) the English language. I always have, until now…

Am still unconvinced that BCH is not run by twelve year olds.

Dont be silly, it says he breaks a leg every day and on the day he does not, they will say screw it. Then later indicates he runs and runs every day, presumably on the broken leg, without serious injury. That is clearly what it says.

IMO there is some PUI going on. However, this new language with its unique grammar and lack of punctuation us pretty consistent amongst quite a few of these posters so deserves a name.

Or should we just call it Chromism and coin a new Clothism?

And… just like that, the creepy Steve Michelle/likely Carolyn Coburn posts - and that FB page - have vanished. I guess that reality finally kicked in and SM realized that comments like that are not going to help with whatever legal matters they are trying to run with… aka “the freight train”. It is not Martin who is being the fameho and seeking the spotlight here - and pandering to clueless “fans”.

And we are also back to that “cruel metal box” that CC was shipped home in. That was what gt me banned - I posted with info about how all horses travel internationally - the excellent care, the safety - but that was Not Allowed. This kind of ignorant comment is, though…

Can u even imagine how hot it was in that crate. Very lucky that he survived that. No one there to offer him water…he was probably so dehydrated and near death when he arrived. Martin should have been arrested for doing this!

Only - if Chrome was the only horse in that palette - that WAS first class and cost plenty of $$$$$$. And of course there is light and temperature control and attendants and hay and water - but these know-it-alls do not care about facts.

Some at BCH should be locked up themselves in cruel metal crates and have the keys thrown away. (Or would they say ‘throne’ away???)

I also particularly liked this one: “Truth is, All 4 cannon bones were injured (bruised).” BCH.

Re the metal crate: “It was like a casket for this poor horse.”

Re SM/Coburns: It sounds like the Coburns signed quickly and happily on the dotted line without benefit of any legal advice or consulting anyone about the fine print. Bet now that Chrome is going back to the races, they are totting up how much money they are NOT going to make if he wins something like, for example, that 10M Dubai race–and no exotic trips to wondrous places.

Don’t remember reading anywhere that they were banned from Sherman’s barn, but on the other hand, what would they expect for continually bad-mouthing their partner and his associates for the last six months?

BCH is wondering why people post who don’t agree with her, since she doesn’t read anything she doesn’t agree with. Duh–because it’s the Sunday funnies every day of the week.

I am just happy these nutjobs have not latched onto Pharoah!

The irony is that the are lauding the picture of the travel in the three tie stalls as " first class". That dratted tin box was more than likely a larger stall.

Well I wonder how long the one logical post wil llast? The one explaining the abscess and the bone bruising.

I love the fact that she constantly denigrates people who come to BCH and oppose her views while advising them not to go there, but she lands on other sites like Paulick or BH and fusses about her own opinions. She even dismissed the video on Newmarket by declaring that ‘no one was interested in seeing it.’ Nuts. She also took down the Ascot site with Chrome’s workout under Dettori - and banned me for pointing out that her reporting of Chrome constantly worked on a right bend was in error.

Well, look at it this way. You’re in far better company than if you were still able to post on BCH.

As far as completely ignoring stuff, look at the comment about the JC name for the 2015 colt, Faversham. Not too crazy about the name myself, but if you check Martin Racing the colt is named for some pedigree bloodline expert that Martin seems to respect–and not necessarily for some town in England. Although, BTW and IMO, the Coburns came up with far better names than Martin.

The crazies are out there, they just haven’t organized yet.
