That is amazing. So glad she made it, 6 days is a long time!

Beautiful cat, too - it’s like a tortie-calico-snowshoe mix!

Wow… glad she was chipped and made it that long without water.

Thank you for the link to the article. Amazing story! And beautiful cat!

6 days without food, and especially without water … I can only imagine that kitty put herself into a kind of feline semi-coma, staying very still, using her inner body resources sparingly.

Amazing that she was so quiet. She’s disproving my theory that if a cat is shut into a box, the cat is going to make the whole world aware of it. If anyone can even get the box lid closed.

I worked at USPS and IME this was a miracle.

We mandate express mail for live adult poultry and they get individualized treatment. Last on first off etc. we do pretty well with that BUT have a disclaimer and won’t refund if we don’t make the delivery date.

I’ve discovered some creature stuck into a box with holes punched into it the hard way, when whatever was stuck in the box scrambled as I lifted it. Took it off to the holding area but have no idea if it was bruised and battered, near death. Didn’t want to know, I mean I don’t understand why pple buy chicks from some hatchery clear across the country, don’t understand why the hatcheries sell their chicks during heat waves or cold snaps either. Such a gamble.

They said the weather was mild, not freezing not hot, and that the box wasn’t completely sealed so air could get in. Lucky cat.

Reminds me of the cat found in a suitcase by the x-ray, on its way to the luggage hold of an airplane. Cats apparently like suitcases as well as boxes.

Little Missy says you don’t climb into an Amazon box until you customize it.

I disagree with the Amazon worker. I have cats. I still don’t get how someone could do this and not notice - unless they were mentally challenged.

If the cat did not want to be noticed, the cat would not be noticed.

The cat did not know about Amazon and the return authorization.

I had a cat …

… well anyway, cat was radically against suitcases. Suitcases being laid out open on top of a bed, with contents being added. Cat planted self in suitcase. In his case, very noticeably, and made himself extremely difficult to remove and to prevent from re-entering the suitcase.

He not only took every step he could think of to make it impossible for me to pack a suitcase and travel, leaving the cats to friends and catsitters for their living, he also decided that my visiting sister was not allowed to leave, either. A lot of black cat hair was all over her clothes that had been in the suitcase. Sis is meticulous and particular about her clothing. She worked hard at being understanding about the cat’s feelings.
