That’s how my poor Aussie/Pyr ended up when I got him trimmed for summer! My friend said he looked like he had Popeye arms :joy:

I love it, and believe donkeys should always have leg warmers.

Thanks! He gets super fluffy in the winter, but it is super fine hair, so he kinda looks like a stuffed animal. His ear get so fluffy we say he looks like a baby harp seal

Here is my dumb of the week. I tried to pony pure chaos. None of us died, the mule was ecstatic to get out and I could feel my horse’s eye roll.

Lady who tells me I have no friends and thinks I’m an abuser for clipping a cushing’s horse likes to think she can park wherever she wants on the property. Barn has a turn around drive. Everyone is supposed to park in a designated area at the end of the U so as not to block the turn around.

Not this lady!

She will park right in the U and stay there for HOURS. Not just a quick feed-and-run.

I just laugh. I’m not going to be petty and trouble the BO with it - he will see it and tell her to park where she’s supposed to eventually.

People are so entitled.

Mini mule. My boss bred him many moons ago. Lol

Looks so horse like! I can never keep them straight, which is which, anyway. Too cute

we have a marauding squad of guineas. They squawk and run under the horses…the fly up into the rafters above the horses…they flyyyyyyyy over the pasture fences… all so random and have done wonders to bombproof my equines. I think there are only about a dozen left. They’re oh, 8 ish years or so old now. The hens go off to sit a nest in the bush and get eaten by raccoons, fox etc. So the majority of what we have left are roos. The guineas are truly unruly and obnoxious, but at least mine are now all pretty tame.
Have a few wandering chicken hens, one of which crows!, one comes into the house at night and sleeps enclosed in a dog cage (she is too old to fly up into the rafters of the barn anymore) and a young OEGB cockerel and pullet.

I like birds and enjoy having them around.

Is that mini-mule’s name?
If not, it should be :sunglasses:

My own “Will he pony?” Moment:

Contributing to this thread because my husband doesn’t get me ranting about a local breeder.

Recently have sent a lot of ads on FB from the same facility with very… interesting horse for sale and some for stud. It seems that this breeder does not geld any of her colts (has a least 3 breeding stallions and numerous weanling to 3 year old intact colts for sale). The ads consistent of very short TikTok videos with the horses in their paddocks or occasionally on lead with a lot of zooming in on their hair or unique markings. The crosses they are breeding are not my cup of tea (think appy, gypsy cob crosses usually)

They recently have had a teenager (16 year old) helping them advertise, and she actually posted the price range. Low five figures for these babies :woman_facepalming:t2:.

I think I wouldn’t be so bothered if the horses were out there doing things or if it seemed anything but color and hair was the motivating factor for breeding them. Probably just going to block them for my mental sanity
