The best in harness racing in 2016 will be honoured this Sunday night (February 26) at the annual U.S. Harness Writers Association’s Dan Patch Awards dinner, presented by Hoosier Park, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. But even if you are not planning on attending, you can still watch the entire night of award presentations.

hile the video streaming won’t be live, it will be available the next morning (Monday, February 27) on the U.S. Trotting Association YouTube page, which can be accessed here, as well as at ustrotting.com/video, which links directly to the video page on the USTA website. In addition, the video will be available for viewing on the USHWA Facebook page.

Thanks, Beaujolais. Burp!

^^ Regarding the last sentence above, I suppose you took over the beaujolais-ing for me? Or some bad crab cakes made it down your way, perhaps?

Walner is the next big deal in trotting, imo. :love-struck:

Always be Miki is part owned by some really good friends of mine. Great people very deserving. One of these days I am going to go see him at Diamond Creek which is not too far from me.

Way kewl, GT. His owners do sound like some great & dynamic people. I read this article about them the other day and thought “wow”.

You need to go meet this legend and get a picture for your “famous horses I’ve known” photo collection.

That is cool. I work at Kentuckiana Farms. Al Libfeld and Marvin Katz - Breeder(s) of the Year - keep most of their mares here, including Cantab It All - Broodmare of the Year. She has a Trixton yearling on the ground, and due this May to Muscle Hill (fingers-crossed).

We also have Stienam’s Place - who’s being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

Superb and nice to meet you, Mao! Do stick around ;).

Big congrats on ALL your Dan Patch Awards this year! (Ariana G !) (I’m partial to trotters, too.)

Yay Kentuckiana & Mao!

Nope. Just beer. Burp!

Not to brag, but our long time vet started his career right out of vet school at Castleton (KY) when it was a standardbred farm. So, distantly, I have SB connection too. Burp!

Not trying to change the subject but how does the Trixton yearling look? I’ve only seen two in person and they were both… eh. I’m interested in hearing/seeing how others look!

Their yearlings are at another farm and won’t be back until yearling prep. Her 2015 colt by Muscle Hill was stunning, but of course, that is Muscle Hill. I guess we shall see how the Trixtons do come sale time.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes we shall see! I hope he does well! I’ve only seen one as a foal and then another as a weanling and they were not spectacular, but not terrible.
