Not a fan
The videos I’ve seen in COTH of training Mexican dancing horses show young horses painfully restrained then whipped into a mental and physical frenzy.
If there were video to prove the training was gradual, calm, thoughtful, and humane then ok fine: I rode Paso Finos ;). I wonder if these horses are naturally gaited to begin with?

The reporter is a colleague of mine. He knows zero about horses. But it is fascinating to see how different cultures treat their horses.
Def interesting to see what other cultures do with their horses.
I’d wager if you sat them down and showed them our big lick horses or western pleasure horses they’d be just as aghast.
