The way I understand it, Juliet was set to win the class but at the very end she wouldn’t stand still and kept backing up so they placed her second. She will get the summer off and show in the PA Hunter Breeder’s Futurity in the fall. I guess we know what we need to work on. Still very proud of my girl and her Mommy. I am also glad that she didn’t ruin Junior’s chance for best handler as he did a great job with all of his horses. Congrats to everyone!
She looks marvelous! Good finish!
If I’m looking at the results correctly, Mo Swanson bred the winners of BOTH sections of the Young Hunter Under Saddle. Go Mo!
And Laurie, CONGRATS! You have a really wonderful filly, you should be nothing but proud!

Yes, it’s true! I bred the winner of the first division who was named overall winner. She is the Oldenburg (GOV) mare Hhors D’Oeuvre, by His Highness out of Elite Mare Whallis Blue (Wallstreet Kid/Armin). She is a third generation product from my breeding program. She was ridden by Lauren Casale, daughter of Sue Casale, the owner and a good friend of mine. I also bred the winner of the second division of the Young Hunter Under Saddle. Her name is Rhecipe, an Oldenburg (GOV) mare by Ravallo out of Elite Mare Dhominica (DeNiro/Rohdiamant). She was ridden by Phoebe DeMott, who bought her from me as a weanling. This is the third winner of the Young Hunter Under Saddle class that Phoebe has purchased from me. She also owned the overall winner two years ago named Fhinancier, ridden by Louise Serio, and Dhenmark (shown as Why Not Me), the division winner in 2005. I am very proud and happy for their success! The judges (Rodney Jenkins and Joe Darby) commented on Hhors D’Oeuvre that she is a magnificent horse and it’s rare to find a horse with three amazing gaits.
Congrats everyone!
Huge Congratulations to Brandon and Arbor Day for their BYH win and to Laurie and Remarkable for their 2nd place finish. Well done by both. And job well done by GFF stallions Aloha and Redwine

Very low res photos. NONE are edited to correct my poor angles or to crop. Enjoy though.
These are all I have. Got tired.
Congratulations to Mo! You run a first rate program!
Congrats to all, Bill,Laurierace, alliekat, Mo … Junior and LaurieP - and everyone else on your lovely youngsters. well done!
My favorite pic of the day! Followed by my least favorite pic of the day! That was when they announced Juliet first in the standby. Little did we know she was about to lose her marbles and get booted to second.
Here are a few shots done by Suzanne Ringer of Ed Venture Thank you so much for sharing.
Great, great photos! These are beautiful youngsters all and a beautiful day for Devon HB! Laurierace, that is a GREAT profile pic for FB of Juliet! Ed Venture really looks GREAT! I hadn’t seen him in a while but he’s just taken a turn for the “Stunning!”
Well done, Mo! I wish I’d been there to see your two!

Wow! He’s lovely Alliekat!
Alliekat/Worth a Shot - he looks fabulous! Congratulations.
Congrats to everyone else as well.
Laurie - I am amazed you are disappointed with a second place at Devon in your first year doing hunter breeding (other than the weanling class last year). I would be doing back flips if I were in your shoes.
