What a beautiful tribute for a lucky hound, houndsRus! We well understand your grief and hope it will be tempered by the knowledge that you gave Quazi and all your other retired hounds a happy and dignified retirement. Blessings on you for that.
what a wonderful tribute. One of my dogs was just diagnosed this week with Lymphosarcoma, and I am not going to do chemo either…He has been a great hunting companion for my brother and hubby, and a wonderful friend and showdog for me…I hope my dog lets me know in the same way Quazi did…Best to you.
Just wanting to say thanks for taking the time to read about Quazi and for all for the many kind words of support and condolence. I’ve had several other breeds of dogs and other types of hounds, but none seem to take up residence in my soul like the fox hounds do. I am so lucky to get to share time with them.
And, Tradewind, you will be in my best thoughts.

I know the sadness of your heart right now.
Years later, I still mourn the losses of the two hounds who retired with me.
