In response to jn1193 question regarding “number of horses that need to be killed”…I don’t think it has anything to do with determining a number… Like it or not, it was just what was done at the time.

It would be wonderful if there was a bag of mail on the desk of each CEO of a sponsor and indicate that this affects your feeling about their product as well. All the separate letters would fill in the whole picture without one letter being five pages long.
Does anyone know what the relationship is between PV and the author Susan Nusser who wrote “In Service to the Horse”? She mentions “Jill and Paul Valliere” in her acknowledgments section.
I really want to buy the book, but until I understand that this is not an endorsement of PV I guess I’ll have to sit and wonder how good it is…

NO! C.Boylen that is not my conclusion at all. The issue we raise is that all those who have been convicted of a felony involving horses should not be permitted to be Members of USEF.
You have no proved that PV has remorse or that he has done anything worthy of forgiveness. You have only proved that we do have proof that he has continued to violate the rules. That does not make him an innocent because general knowledge from his friends has proved his guilt. We may not have the check books and accounts but we have his defenders admitting he has hired someone to be his proixy at shows.
Continuing this line of defense will only compell us to require that the two juniors who knowingly rode his horses need to be penalized. That his proxy whether paid or not needs to be penalized.
Do you really want to take that route or leave the issue as it is? Pv cannot be proved to have broken rules but those who consorted with him can be proved to have broken the rules of USEF. PV has been convicted by a court of law and has done nothing to regain our confidence that he has remorse because he continues to use others to do his dirty work for him. Not much of an improvement over the Sandman except that no horses have died.
Is there any deviation of USEF rules when one’s trainer is under suspension, and the trainer of record on the entry blank is a trainer in the employ of the suspended trainer? In and of itself, that seems to be deceitful at best, but if the training money for the day’s activities were to go to Mr. Valliere, is it not as if he were the trainer for that day of showing?

I’m not answering FOR Anthem, but I would like to point out that she has mentioned many times, on and off the BB, that she trains with more than one trainer, regularly.
