The Oaks CSI pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!

You rock Joe!

McLain Ward and Rio had a toe in the tub and left with 4.

Wow!

I can’t believed I missed you guys. I arrived extremely unfashionably late (crew of barn teens in tow…hmmmm…actually that explains alot); just in time to see Susie and La Gometa (who is owned by a girl in our barn…stunning pic Taryn!). BUT due to my exceptional tardiness and the extreme chaos that ensued from chasing around said barn teens - I missed the meeting time and you were all in your seats I believe by the time I arrived. Sigh.

By the way, thanks again to Coreene for the ticket. It was truly a great day!!

Alas, Akrogirl - I am not that in the know and am not sure about the Gretchen/Susie connection. The mare is owned by a girl in our barn, and she (the horse) spends time at both our barn and Susie’s barn, and works with both my trainer and Susie.

Incidentally, I too endured the atugraph tent - the girls I was with insisted. It was really cute. I was personally quite sad to not see McLain Ward there - what a fabulous rider and cute too! The girls were quite taken w/ Ramiro Quintana…

Awesome pictures! Thanks a bunch for spending the time to post all of them for us to see!

Taryn you should work for SI. Your pics are awesome! How do you time them. Each one is so good, sharpe and clear! Thanks so taking the time to post all of them for those of us who could not make it Your pics made me feel like I was there tho’

Coreene, I have the same flag top as you!!! I always knew we had incredible good taste

Unfortunately, I was coming back from the Ride America Show in Carlsbad and by the time we got to the Oaks it was a little too late. Fortunately tho’ I was able to hook up with AAJumper for dinner at El Adobe. I had a terrific time. It’s really neat to put faces with names!

However, he was not cute enough, and ended with 12.

(digital Tux!)

Hap Hansen also retired-Maloubet was weak off the ground to the first two, and he pulled up after this scary oxer.

Laura Kraut and Anthem disapointed with an 8 fault round.

I think Schuyler Riley and Ilian had 8. More champagne anyone?

Taryn thanks for taking all the time to post these for those of us who can’t get out there.

What a great picture of Joe and Edgar–I hope you won’t mind (I know he won’t) that I’ve copied it and put it on the auto release thread over on the H/J board… you might not know that Ramiro Quintana (Lacoste), from Argentina, rides for Joe–plenty of style there along with the good looks!!

The jumps look a heck of a lot bigger in your pictures than they do on TV!!! I just gained a new respect for these riders – ain’t no way!

Hey AAJ -

yup, we will be doing the lows as well. In fact, if we are terrible in the lows, that may be all we are doing! But positive attitude and what not, right? My horse has been going really well at home. Let’s hope it will cary through to the show…

Looking forward to meeting you.

ps - isn’t El Adobe the yummiest??

Next was George Sanna and W.P. Cadbury. I think he’s from Australia or something . I didn’t write down his faults either, but you’ll notice his picture is absent later on.

The second clear was put in by Leslie Howard and S’Blieft. Man I love that horse.

Our dear Canadian friend Eric Lamaze and Rosina had 4 at the water.

Great pics Taryn!!! It was fun meeting everyone!

Super woman Margie and Hidden Creek’s Perin put in a glorious clear round. Did you expect anything less???

Boo hoo! N2Jumpers and I missed you guys. We showed up about 1:20 with no CotH caps in sight! It was a fantastic show, though. Thanks Coreene!
