The quest for a rolled leather drop noseband bridle - Bridle2Fit - experiences?

I’m on a never ending quest for a drop noseband bridle with rolled leather for my P.R.E. Without the buckles on top of the crownpiece.

It’s a bit of a pain because sometimes he’s a cob size, sometimes he’s a full size, sometimes he’s a hodgepodge of both.

His first bridle was a Premiera - the quality is just ok, but they do offer a rolled drop, but the Cob is far too small, so I returned it. I didn’t pursue their full size yet since I am not thrilled with the quality. Even though it is a sub 100- (Euro) bridle. His other bridle by them is a cob size and fits, so I figured I’d try my luck, or lacktherof.

I tried out Evison Equine, but the fit and style (no keepers on cheek pieces or guard on buckle for noseband under the chin) didn’t work. Sent that back. Full size is quite large. Cob is out of stock.

There is a discontinued but still available Anky rolled drop bridle. No experience with that brand and cannot for the life of me find or get measurements for the bridle, so it’d likely be a try and return. Only full is available.

So, that leads me to Bridle2Fit which is within Europe, so that’s a plus. They actually have a rolled drop option. I tediously measured his current bridle (BR rolled - not drop though) and placed an order that hopefully will work out. It’d be nice if I could just swap on a rolled drop to my existing rolled bridle, but that’s wishful thinking.

I have exactly 0 experience with Bridle2Fit and have a hard time finding reviews or experiences. Has anyone ordered from them? or had a bridle or other pieces? How is the quality, longevity, and overall service? I mean, I’m already in, but it hasn’t arrived yet and I’m curious.

If by some slim miracle there are other manufacturers of a drop rolled bridle, feel free to suggest.

On the plus side, it is much easier to come across a rolled leather double bridle.

I seem to recall seeing a Döbert rolled bridle with a dropped noseband. Might be worth looking into. Good luck!

I have two Bridle2Fit bridles and love them! I bought my first one at the Omaha World Cup after my barn owner bought hers. I didn’t get a noseband because I had a Tota Comfort noseband for my gelding that works for him. I showed them a picture of my gelding’s head and they picked out all the parts based on the picture and a few questions.

Several months later, I bought another bridle through their website when I bought my mare. I did the measurements myself and picked out all the parts. I had to switch out the chin strap since the first one I got was a bit too long, but that was my error as I erred on the long side.

I’ve had both bridles for 2 years (give or take) and I’m extremely happy with how they’ve held up. The leather is gorgeous and cleans up well. Both of mine are well made. The only minor complaint I have about it are the stones in the browband started coming loose. I glued them back down and haven’t had any issues since.

Hm, I’ll have to take a look, thanks!

Thanks for the input! I did not order a browband since I already have a few, but I was tempted. I am really hoping that I measured and ordered correctly! It doesn’t have to be phenomenal quality, but something they looks nice enough and holds up to everyday (or nearly) use.

Pretty sure that Doebert, Schuhmacher Passier as well as Hoepfner will do custom Nosebands if you tell them what you want. I recommend Hoepfner

I have a B2F double that I got through a rep (so no experience with the company directly). The bridle is very well made, extremely comfy for my horse, and beautiful. The quality is great. I’ve only had it a few months so can’t speak to longevity.

I think the interchangeability of all the pieces makes them very versatile.

I purchased a Bridle2Fit snaffle bridle last year. LOVE it. Leather is soft and supple right out of the bag and correspondence with the company was timely. The reins are my absolute favorite. I’ve used it for schooling, shows and clinics and it has held up very well. Because I use it so much, I decided I needed to purchase another bridle to designate for shows and clinics. My SO decided he wanted to purchase it for me for xmas, and I hated to ask him to spend that much, so I settled on a less expensive bridle by another well known company. It was pretty to look at, but the quality? Eh…

Still I tried to sell my horse on it. He would have none of it the moment I put it on. Even after using leather balm and oil the night before, it was still quite stiff. The B2F bridle was ready to go right out of the box. Tried to ride him in it, and he was bracing and difficult. After 10 min, I gave up and put him back in the B2F. Instantly quiet and soft again. So yea, looks like I’ll be shelling out the cash for another.

Thank you all for the suggestions and input.

I ordered my Bridle2Fit pieces on the 11th but I have not received anything yet (their website states within 7 working days). I did not receive any notification that it was shipped, so I reached out to them yesterday, but haven’t received a reply yet. I’m just used to receiving an order confirmation (I do have one from PayPal) and shipping notification, but I know that is not the norm for all companies.

I did not find anything by Döbert. I don’t want to go totally custom - maybe as a last resort. I do have a German “Big Name Brand” headquarters/factory just 25 min or so away that I could inquire with.

In the meantime, hopefully the Bridle2Fit pieces arrive in the next few days! I really like their concept of piecing together a bridle.

Just an update on the Bridle2Fit in case anyone stumbles across this in the future:

The quality is very nice, so I am satisfied there, but their stuff seems to run small. Nothing I ordered and measured for fits. The crownpiece is ok, but could be a size larger. The cheek pieces are shorter (I ordered the “normal” based off of my measurements), and the drop noseband won’t even close around my horses nose. I have no idea how someone would fit one of these to a larger horse. My P.R.E. that this bridle is for fluctuates between full and cob.

I just find it odd that this horse has maxed out their drop noseband (doesn’t come any larger). takes a full crownpiece, and “large” size cheek pieces. No way I could’ve ordered one of these for my Warmblood. Normally full size bridles are on the next to last holes (shortest it can go) with him, or a too big in some cases.

So I’ll have to return all of it because the main piece I am interested in (the drop) doesn’t fit. Kind of bummed. If they fit your horse, the quality is really nice.

Thanks for the report. Annoying that everything ran small, considering that the main point of piecing a bridle together is to get a better fit.

I was going to order a noseband from them, but got an awesome deal on something else that I am hoping will fit my girls big schnozz.

Yeah, I’m measuring again to see if I made any mistakes but I measured several times. I wrote everything down and ordered from that. So it’s odd. I thought about changing the back piece on the drop and see if it works, but the front piece will probably still be too short, and overall not work. The side pieces are kind of short too. My friend said the pieces looked as thought they’d belong to a pony bridle. So weird.

I only have one more “off the shelf” option left, but I’m not optimistic at this point  why is everything huge or small?!
