The Rainbow Bridge Touches Down Sometimes

Did you take that today? It is Dia de los Muertos…just sayin’

Don’t you wish some of the ones on the other side could come visit once in a while?

That is eerily spooky looking. There was a bridge on I65 that I hated to cross coming back from Tennessee with hay. If I hit it at sundown it looked somewhat like that - you were driving into a golden arch where the road just disappeared.

No. I just saw it online.
I didn’t know. I do know it’s All Saints Day.
I wish they could come visit. That’s a nice thought.

Creepy. I had a badly weird experience one night in Nashville driving out to Percy Warner Park. Terrifying lights out of nowhere like gates at the end of the world.
Was the bridge on I-65 going south or north out of TN? I don’t remember a weird bridge going towards AL or KY but it’s been 40-odd years.

The bridge is in Alabama going over the Tennessee River, right next to the wildlife reserve one mile from the I565 junction. I don’t know why it gave me the heebie jeebies, but it did. Especially when the arch looked like you were heading into blank space.

A photo “copied” from the internet is, sadly, not a genuine photo anymore.

Yeah, this one looks pretty Photoshopped.

We used to have some great old bridges around here, before the new highways were put in. One-lane iron bridges built for Model T’s. One was on a curve; you couldn’t see anyone coming from the other direction. Fun times!

Wow, that is some bridge! Even on Google Map I see what you mean about the arch.

Maybe my bridge phobia hadn’t hit back when i drove it. But I don’t think I’d want to drive it now. I’ve had enough problems with the I-20 bridge over the Coosa River.

Thank you for letting me know I’m not alone. I used to drive anything in my 20s and 30s. Now in my late 50s I will try to avoid large bridges if at all possible.
