Ok, one of my friends just texted me about a super phenomenal horse who is competing at the weg that is comparable to Totalis from Britian. Anyone know which horse she is referring to? Pics or video?
There is a thread about him and his rider on the Dressage forum. It talks more about her than the horse but there is a bit about him too. Apparently his barn name is Alf.

Hardly a sleeper, lol. That is Mistral Hojris, who I personally much prefer to Totilas.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED them.
And I had never heard of them either. Not that I’m an expert by any means. But I just felt it was one of the best rides. It truly reminded me of why I fell in love with dressage.
The Spanish rider/horse who went right after Totilas ROCKED too. (sorry, don’t have my daysheet, can’t remember name, came in 5th overall, riding just before Toto tonight. ) He’s a tough act to follow, and the little Iberian came charging in ON FIRE and said “Yeah, I can do that too.”
I miss all three of them today since I ride at 17:30.

Laura rode Alf for GBR in Hong Kong as well.
I believe she was also the British national champion on her other horse, Andretti H, recently as well.
Laura herself is also a very, very nice girl.

LOVED Laura and Alf…I liked him at Hong Kong, learned more about them leading up to WEG, and they are hands down my favorite pair now. Just love her and love love him.

He is not a sleeper at all for anyone who follows dressage, he and Laura have had a spectacular season. Under the right circumstances they could even be a gold medal contender in the individual events. :yes:
