The time on posts ...

I am on Central time, the forums have been set on Central time forever on my settings.
Since the change, that means I am seeing Eastern time on posts?

I finally changed my settings to Mountain time and now it shows my real, Central time.

Anyone else has/noticed that same little problem?

I think that what happened was the Chronicle Forums never made the switch from Daylight time to Standard time.

I am in Virginia, and all my time stamps started being an hour off when we switched to Eastern Standard Time

Yes, I’ve noticed the times being “off” – like the one above this one says 9:40 am but my local time now is 9:04 am as I post this. Will be curious to see what it gets stamped with

And it was stamped as 10:04 am despite my local time being 9:04 am.

Sounds like other’s time is one hour ahead also.

Mine is ok now on the Mountain time tab, which is not my real time, but it shows my real time.

No sweat, too little a glitch, they need to fix that ignore button one first.

Just a check

If you go to your ‘User Settings’ (I see them in a drop down from my name up by the Notifications and Messages on my desktop) and go to the ‘Account’ tab. Scroll down to the Date & Time Options and ensure your Time Zone is correct along with DST Correction.

I am in AZ which doesn’t adjust their clock (so sometimes I am Pacific Time and sometimes Mountain) and my Rolex clock continued to read correctly through the DST time change

Yes, the Rolex clock is accurate, is the time on threads and posts that was off by one hour when my settings were at my time, Central.
Once I put them on Mountain, now they show up right on my real, Central time.
Go figure.

Is your DST setting correct?

It is set on "automatically detect DST settings and clicked on the save tab and it still gave me the one hour ahead listing on threads and posts, until I changed the tab above that setting to Mountain time.

Seems that others also have similar problems, not just me.

What if you change it to DST corrections always On?

My time was off until I set mine to Off (which is correct for AZ).

Maybe the auto detect isn’t work as expected? I dunno.

I tried on on Central and on automatic, will see what happens on off.

Yep, now it seems to be working, thanks!

Setting Time Zone and setting DST are two different settings.

I would set Time Zone to your correct time zone and set DST to On (not automatic) and see what happens.

I set DST to Off as we don’t fuss with changing our clocks in AZ
