Congrats to those with black dots! It seems like quite a few repeat breedings.
Sorry for those not having success - I’ve been holding my breathe with Joy…she will be checked tomorrow and Izzy (Zarr X Fleur de Lis) next week.

We bred our mares Ms. Ritmo Latino and Kahlooa N Kreme back to Escapade today. I hope they take this time as we are in the middle of a move and I might not get another chance to try this year. Fingers crossed.
Unfortunately, Ahme has come up empty with Cubito. I think that, unless we get sudden motivation, we are done now. Still need to hear about Czola and CQuito, and a 30 day check with Kaiserin and Carolus II. We are planning on a fetal sexing with Julia, so should have that news around the 26th or 27th.
I am on the 2 week wait as well. My Swedish Warmblood mare Claire de Lune was bred to Freestyle on Tues. Fingers crossed! Everything “looked” perfect so hopefully a black dot in two weeks!!
Oh Happy Day, both maiden mares were confirmed pregnant to my young stallion. So hopefully we’ll have a couple of healthy welsh cob foals next spring. Both caught on the first cycle they were bred on; so, hubby’s wallet is also feeling rather lucky too
No black dot for Peggy Sue, bred to Comic Hilltop. She is back in heat, and I’m trying one more time this season with Romanov.
We’re checking EM Amelia tomorrow morning! Fingers crossed for an Edelweiss black dot!
Decently good week here!
Our Galoubet/Abduallah mare had 2nd check in foal to Palladio with good heartbeat.
Same news on premium Gonzo I mare bred to Palladio
AND same news on Gold Apollo/Pericles mare that is bred to Palladio and headed to our farm asap!
BUT…my awesome TB April sound came up empty at 33 days…the every other year curse continues on that one!
Well, this was an unusual year for us. We have three confirmed with heartbeats, all took on 1 cycle this year. Only one left to go. Hopefully she will be ready to be bred this weekend. So, our line up for next year so far is:
Donnalja Frederico (Don Frederico/Rosentau) Benidetto - 3/2012; (MPT testing in august as well. She has busy year)
EM Radunuja (Rosentau/Weltmeyer) - Fabuleux - 3/2012; six direct generations of SPS/Elite on BOTH sides of pedigree
EM Halleluja (His Highness/Rosentau) Sandro Hit - 4/2012; she promises me this time it will be a filly!
EM Heiress (His Highness/Matcho) Wild Dance - 5/2012; hopefully !
Sorry Clint - hope this time is good.
And Andrea, glad your 30 day checks were OK except for April. She has lovely foals, and those “every other year” mares are frustrating.
Cheryl - love your line-up for next year. Really interesting crosses.
Good luck to all who are waiting.
My Espinette did not catch - third successive breeding (2 in 2010 did not work). She was rebred last weekend to Sir Gregory - and started on regumate yesterday. Cheap insurance, if it helps.
I am also in the 2 week wait for Ditana (Quaterback repeat) and After Hours (Romanov attempt).

Kathleen, sorry about Espinette. Hope this times the charm Good luck with the QB and Romanov, I hope you get them both! What super foals those will be!!
Congrats to Hidden Acres!!! You deserve a good year Cheryl, you have paid your dues. And I am thinking filly, filly, filly!!!
Best of luck to everyone still in the wait!
I was supposed to be getting out of the breeding business, but didn’t want to end on a bad note. So, one more crop. (I hope!)
Finally got a good culture on Lesley (Lessing/Banter/Akzent I)Last round we dispensed with the antibiotics and did two lavages with hypertonic saline, one infusion with DMSO. It worked!
Bred wednesday to Perigueux. Fingers crossed for a filly to carry on this mareline.
1 down, 1 to go!
I just had my Schwalbenherbst mare check in foal to Hadrian! I tried 3 times last year unsuccessfully shipping semen from the US (nothing wrong with the semen). Very frustrating! So I decided to try again, but switch her to Hadrian (who is local and owned by my cousin) whom she had a stunning colt by in 2009. Took 2 attempts but we got her! Whew!
Wanted to rebreed Winter Eve, my Chaka Khan mare, to Landkoenig, on foal heat but she didn’t cooperate and ovulated by day 8! She’s been short-cycled and I’ll hopefully be breeding next week. Be glad when it’s all done, it’s so STRESSFULL!

Good for you! I’m definitely thinking about you and hoping for an uneventful pregnancy culminating in a wonderful keeper filly!
well crap! EM Amelia is open and Poesy had a terrible frozen reaction so almost no chance of a pregnancy. I went from great year to 1 for 3, season in the toilet in a matter of minutes. Blah.
So, after my whine…we ordered more semen for Amelia, looking for a fresh stallion for Poesy and Kurtaxe gets checked on Weds. Just keep swimming Just keep swimming Just keep swimming Just keep swimming Just keep swimming Just keep swimming Just keep swimming
Good luck Kate. Interesting, your tactical switch. I love that mare of yours, and hope you get a keeper filly from her.
Me, too. Fingers and toes crossed for you, Kate!
So very disappointed…Joy is not in foal to Rio Grande…
DeeDee confirmed 15 days in foal to Don Hill on 1 dose Frozen…Yeah.
Joy covered by Southern Success yesterday on a collapsing follicle but she was still dead-in.
Millie goes to Sir Shackleton on her foal heat, darn mare went 363 days on 1 cover last year.
My only shoot w/ her or she will go get a frozen popsicle and join the dark side…
My wait is finally over!
My 2 mares are both confirmed in foal…
Britta (Grafenburg/Winnetou West) has a 35 day “seahorse” with a visible heartbeat by Pablito, and Maddie (Pointmaker/TB) has a 16 day Diamond Stud big black dot.
Good luck to everyone on the waiting train!
ETA: Both mares took on the first breeding…and YES, I use Immunall !
