the website that is, "which is a pitbull"

I am looking for the thread that has the link to a site that shows a bunch of photos of bully looking dogs and you have to pick out the pit bull.

I just need the link. I cannot remember where I found it and I did a search to no avail.

Thanks !!

There are some problems with that feel-good photo quiz, an argument you can find here:

There are several “find a pit bull” games out there. If you do an internet search, you can find them. PBRC.NET would also be a good resource for finding them.

Thanks vacation1. When I tried the quiz, the first dog I thought was the Pit Bull was the Dogo Argentino, and I sort of felt like there wasn’t a big enough difference between the two breeds to make much of a fuss over. And the second guess I made was the Alapaha Blue Bulldog, which is a mix of bulldog and pit bull. Again, I’m not certain from an animal control standpoint that it would be necessary to be able to distinguish a pit-cross with a lot of pit influence from a purebred. My third guess was correct.

Yes, I think it’s a good point to make that people can easily mistake the breed of a dog that they see on the street when they have no background info. And from what I’ve seen of animal control around here, I don’t think they’re that much better at identifying breeds than the average dog owner. But it is reasonable, imo, to assume stray dogs are more likely to be common breeds than rare ones, and there is a difference between looking at a live dog and looking at a photo. As vacation1’s article pointed out, no one rational is actually going to mistake a Jack Russel Terrier for a Pit.

Well, yes, there are problems with that quiz. Just as there are problems with the website you posted.
The problem with that quiz is that it doesn’t give good perspective so that you have no idea how large the dog is.

The site DOES however, bring to light a big problem. It has been shown over and over and over again that you cannot accurately identify a pit bull just by looks. I cannot tell you the number of times my AKC AmStaff was identified as a boxer mix by people supposedly “in the know”.

Combine the fact that there is no good method for determining whether a pit bull is one by sight with someone who has just been bitten and you have a recipe for misidentification.

Thanks guys, I just needed the site to help a friend with a contest she is having, about how hard it is to pin point a pittie.

I did not want to start anything.
