There are some problems with that feel-good photo quiz, an argument you can find here:

Thanks vacation1. When I tried the quiz, the first dog I thought was the Pit Bull was the Dogo Argentino, and I sort of felt like there wasn’t a big enough difference between the two breeds to make much of a fuss over. And the second guess I made was the Alapaha Blue Bulldog, which is a mix of bulldog and pit bull. Again, I’m not certain from an animal control standpoint that it would be necessary to be able to distinguish a pit-cross with a lot of pit influence from a purebred. My third guess was correct.
Yes, I think it’s a good point to make that people can easily mistake the breed of a dog that they see on the street when they have no background info. And from what I’ve seen of animal control around here, I don’t think they’re that much better at identifying breeds than the average dog owner. But it is reasonable, imo, to assume stray dogs are more likely to be common breeds than rare ones, and there is a difference between looking at a live dog and looking at a photo. As vacation1’s article pointed out, no one rational is actually going to mistake a Jack Russel Terrier for a Pit.
