I have a horse with mild kissing spine and would like to get a therapeutic sheet to help his back warm up/loosen up during the colder months. I have tried the Back on Track mesh and fleece sheets on him and they just do not fit him well. Does anyone have experience with the other brands of therapeutic sheets (Smartpak, Rambo Ionic, Weatherbeeta, etc)? Would love to hear any feedback regarding brands other than BOT! Thanks! Rambo Ionic fits great and really seems to help the horse. However, with regular wear/washing, the little dots on the inside started peeling. Unless they’ve improved their fabric, I’d expect to replace it yearly.
I just picked up one of the Smartpak sheets during their last sale. Haven’t tried it on yet, so nothing to report.
I also love my Fenwick liquid titanium sheet and my Draper Therapies cooler. (In case you want some more to check out).

Can’t speak to how the horse ones fit, but several of my dog friends and I use the Lux sheets from Schneider’s for our agility dogs and like them (and they’re half the price of BoTs).

@joiedevie99 I’ve heard the Rambo Ionic has a better overall fit for most horses unlike BOT, but haven’t heard about the issue with the dots peeling - that’s a bummer considering the price. I have looked into Draper too, I just worry those buckle closures they use wouldn’t hold up, but I suppose those would be easier to fix if they do happen to break. I haven’t heard of Fenwick, I’ll have to look into it! Thank you so much for your input!

A friend just got the SP SmartTherapy Mesh sheet. It does look like it fits better than the BOT - less sliding. However, they designed it to be able to be worn year round so it doesn’t run as warm as a BOT would.

I recently got the SmartPak mesh sheet (primarily because it’s impossible to find BOT stuff anywhere right now). I’ve only had it a week, so can’t comment on durability, but it fits my TB mare well.

Neither Rambo ionic nor BOT fit my mare. She has a narrow chest and they both slid back on her shoulders. Might have to try either SmartPak or Schneider’s.
I love my Professional’s Choice Theramic sheet.
For kissing spine you’d be better off with a PEMF product like Bemer, Pulse, or MagnaWave if you can afford it.
