Thinline western cotton liner with shims

Does anyone have one of these?

My Fabtron Lady Trail, FQHB, fit Conjure very well when I bought it. But after a period of no work, he lost muscle tone, and now we have those annoying little dips behind the withers where the saddle doesn’t make contact.

We can’t use wool pads - they make him shake like a wet dog, repeatedly, which makes for an unsettling ride. So I just ordered one of these, with four 1/4" shim pads. I’m planning on using it on top of my Reinsman “fleece” contour pad.

When I rode huntseat, he and I loved my thinline pad, so I’m trying the western version. Has anyone had any experience with these?

I don’t have that pad, but I was very happy with the English version of that pad. Used it for many years until I got a Toklat Matrix pad. I now have the Toklat Matrix English and western version and like them really well.

I have the Back On Track version of this one and really like it. Used it for a show last weekend. Best part is you can throw it in the washer! Holds up great.

I have the Thinline western wool pad and use a liner like this and love it
