This has been making the social media rounds for about 10 years now. Here’s one of the earlier YouTube videos from 9 years ago:

I also have not ever heard any follow up about it. But the fact that new press keeps getting made makes me think someone must be out there using it or promoting it…
Well, you notice the older vid mentions training camels as well. Aimed at a Mideast/Emirate audience is my guess.
So…
I guess if you have more money than you know what to do with, and can invest in equipment that will cost a LOT more than the human equivalent… Why not?
It’s the pet project of a Turkish businessman named Mehmet Kurt according to Wikipedia
I wonder if that thing really is being used in Lambourne.
I can see how it might get horses fit–but it wouldn’t teach them anything about being racehorses. So then you would have to go back to the beginning and do that. Also, if something went wrong with one of the horses in that contraption, I wonder how quickly the “driver” would know.
I’ve seen something similar used for harness horses - basically some stall-sized pipe corrals attached to a car. They drive it around the track and the horses go along. I think there were 4 or 6 of them. Kind of wild but it does allow you to exercise a lot of horses with one person (and one time slot).
That’s different.
