Those w/ horses suffering from RAO/COPD - check out my homemade AeroMask!

So, the vet was out again today,for my Mini with RAO. Again, he sounded good on exhilation, but had some crackling and wheezing with Inhilation - the opposite of classic RAO.

He’s been on Prednisolone for months now, but seemed to do better on the compounded kind from Wedgewood - even though the Vet said he likes the straight up Prednisolone better. he also put him on SMZ’s for a few weeks, in case it was some sort of co-infection.

I think I may try some Spirilina tabs from Springtime, but in the meantime, I just wanted my poor little guy to not be so miserable. Then I saw his grazing muzle, and got an idea:

And for the first time in months he ate his dinner WITHOUT COUGHING!!!

:yes::winkgrin::yes:

Now, I’m not sure how it would work on a full sized horse, but it sure did help my little guy. :slight_smile: Anyway, just wanted to share my redneck Aeromask.

Great idea! I once made ice boots out of rubber waders…

You know, I just saw a picture on a FB group, of a Mule in rubber boots, getting a Clean Trax treatment - I thought it was a great idea!
