Would love to hear about your experiences with these stirrup irons before ordering a pari. They look amazing, but looks can be deceiving.
Thanks in advance!

Love mine. The paint does chip/scratch fairly easily though. But even with that, they have a great feel to them. Nice weight…much better than riding with the composite stirrups. I’m very happy with mine. I just wish the sold touch up paint for when they get scratched (young horse…fit in the woods…you get the idea…but I’ve seen others whose are dinged up too).
ETA: I’m thinking of taking mine to a car painting place as I think they would have the right kind of paint. Still love the stirrups even with the chip in the paint!
I’ve heard that the paint scratches! That’s such a bummer given the price. I wonder if you could get some auto touch-up paint that would suffice.
The blue ones are calling to me, so I may just have to do this…

I have a set of dark blue and a set of light blue…yes, they are expensive. But sort of like expensive shoes…I don’t regret the splurge
Haha…so true!
I picked up a pair & returned them. I like more weight, but they are better than typical composite stirrups. I found them more likeable for dressage but couldn’t justify the expense. They did look great in black with my black dressage tack.
I have a pair of HS Flex for Dressage & plain-old ones for jumping stuff, FWIW.
I have them, and like them, but mine not only have chipped paint, but they have rusted near the logo. This is extremely frustrating given the price point. I emailed the company, hoping for a stellar customer service experience similar to the one I had with Samshield, but heard nothing back at all.
I do like riding with them very much, and they solve a lot of the problems I had with my Royal Riders, especially on the occasion of losing a stirrup on course, but the quality is really disappointing.
We are the importers of the Lorenzini stirrups of Italy and I appreciate the conversation.
Regarding the paint issues discussed, the painting process has been much improved over the original methods and the stirrups are now painted with 6 layers including a primer coat. Lorenzini now offers premium iridescent colors.
However, just like when you drive your new Maserati out of the showroom and get sideswiped be a Chevy, they are painted and will scratch if dropped on a concrete floor or by clipping an indoor arena wall. So we are now offering factory supplied touch up paint that matches the original color.
Once again I appreciate the feedback.

Bob,
Thanks for the information - hopefully the improved painting process will help, but to clarify, my stirrups were never “sideswiped” by anything - they don’t get banged around, my saddle is always covered when not in use. This is after only a year of what would be considered normal wear and tear.
I would love to hear some ideas as to why they are rusting as well. They may have occasionally been ridden in the rain, but always dried off, like the rest of my saddle. Equestrian products, by their very nature, have to be hardy to withstand the conditions of normal use.
When asked for recommendations, I can only speak to my personal experience, which thus far, has been somewhat disappointing, given the price point.
I love mine. I haven’t had a lot of paint chips yet, but do notice some scratches, and I’m pretty careful about my stuff. I wonder how we get a hold of the touch up paint mentioned in Steif’s post?
Mine were definitely sideswiped by a Chevy (aka Tree). I don’t blame the stirrups for their chips/scratches. Just point it out to people that the paint is not indestructible…and not like the plastic composites or traditional stainless steel ones.
I will need to send Bob a message as to how to order the touch up paint! Still love the stirrups.
I have them and LOVE THEM. I found them used on eBay for a steal. I had tried to many diffent stirrups fur jumping and the search is officially over. You’ll love them:)
