Thoughts on Nabab de Reve's son Kashmir van Schuttershof

I’m curious on what people think of him? He seems like he has a great jump, wonderful bloodlines, and offspring that are competing internationally. Although, it’s hard to get much information about him other than he stands in Belgium.
I have no clue what mares breed best to him?

To be brief- our thoughts are positive. Is there a way to get him over here?

Yes, A-1 performance sires has limited doses of him. I went a head and bought two doses so I hoping I’m right. I really like him and he is number 29 in the WBFSB 2010. I have a Calypso II mare out of a thoroughbred mare and have another Mare out of Inselfuerst bloodlines. Who would be best for him?

You’ll be happy to know that the sBs is now registering horses in North America - you’ll be able to register the foal in Kashmir’s registry

Good luck - super bloodlines!

I wanted to bump this old thread to see if anyone has used him since?

I ordered two doses of him back in the winter of 2010 from A-1 Performance sires. However, in March of 2011 when it was suppose to ship, the place where he stands contacted me informing me that Kashmir had been injured and would not be shipping any of his frozen to the US. They did give me the option of choosing from one of two very young stallions or my money back. I got my money back and haven’t tried to use him since.
I would love to try again, if anyone can get his frozen shipped to the US. Supposely, he freeze very well.

I saw he isn’t on A1’s current roster. Bummer. He looks interesting/worth looking into further.

He never was on her stallion list but was a special request from a couple of us. I think they were asking 1350 per dose. It maybe worth asking Ann at A-1 to see if she can try again.

He is a very lovely, proven stallion but I do have a feeling there is a reason they aren’t marketing to the US breeders.

Interesting.
